"humbled and flattered"
Over the last couple of years, I've lost count at how many times I've had people say "See your Sharks are in trouble again", from die hard AFL fans. With all the scandals the Sharks have been involved in the past decade, it would honestly surprise me if anyone in Australia that remotely followed sport didn't know who we are.
It was very positive IMO. Sounds like he giving it genuine consideration at the very least.Atleast he knows who we are, this article gives me hope we may well snag this bloke.
So what are we saying here? Are we saying the board have deliberately kept this hush hush in order to easily get themselves elected again?
If so, I'd be very disappointed. I would have thought they'd have more confidence than that. Even though I was not happy with the way they got themselves in, I can't see too many things to be upset with them about.
I really don't think there is any reason for them to be sneaky at election time, I think the majority of people would re-elect them on their current merits. But if they have deliberately snowed this then that is indeed a concern.
Aren't members meant to be notified of an up and coming election ?
It does seem highly strange that there has been a barrage of communications coming from the Club about everything else but this. I'm also led to believe that they're also pitching for a 3 year term as opposed to the 2 year term. Not too sure how that could be done without changing the Club's constitution.
Lyall isn't a board member so not sure what you're going to get out of him.
Are you suggesting he wouldnt know whats going on? I think he would.
