SF made the most appropriate post earlier.

He was never "ours" - we bought him from another club remember?

If he leaves, we have no right to complain, end of story.

I don't care to be honest, I'm over it.

With him bailing,
Sponsors disappearing off the jersey,
Key players out with injuries,
Coach being suspended,
Aasada crap about to come out,
A board that is doing god knows what.
Poms leaving.

I'll keep supporting who ever takes the field and the logo and maybe this nightmare will soon be over.

Go sharkies

Best post I've seen on here for a while!

Could b worse u could be the eels paying sandud a motza and he can't crack their team cause of his form... Disappointed with fifita's decision that will turn to anger if he has another stand out yeAr then waves us goodbye...

Don't worry about it too much mate, what's done is done. Matching the dogs offer would have been the wrong move for us IMO. If he has another stand out year well let's just enjoy it along with any wins it brings us and be glad we had him for a few memorable years instead of none at all.

I'm increasingly more disappointed about Lichaa. I wake up in a cold sweat thinking he'll turn out to be the next cam smith. Bit like whoever it was at the dogs that thought "this Thurston kid hasn't really worked out, let's let him go". Is that guy even still alive?

It's not about him being the next Cam Smith (which he isn't). It's the fact he is young, has huge potential and our current "First Graders" at hooker are total ****

Try to keep up.

It's not just money. It's the uncertainty about what's going on at Cronulla.

Coach 2015
Players likely to be outed over ASADA
No doubt the usual infighting

Players are a brand themselves. If you were Fafita would you stay or take an opportunity to separate your brand from our ****fight? No different to sponsors.

there is so much BS floating around about his contract and it all comes from his manager. As if his manager is going to make it public that he got more out of the dogs then they needed to pay.

The biggest contract (cash) was ET's at $700k during super league. Todd's is $750k but its not all cash he gets a car and a few other no cash perks.

So logic would say our offer to Fifita would have been around the Todd mark.

Which just confirms we would have paid too much. Todd is far more important to this team than Fifita.

I hope he gets free tattoos otherwise he needs the $750k just to pay for them.

I was actually hoping he would. We backed him when he was doing so well, and could of languished in NSW cup for a few years had Ho Chi Tim had his way. So yes, I was hoping he'd repay that and stay, especially if the money was close (as has been reported). Without Flanno giving him the opportunity he was given he may have made none of this money. Thats not to say he definitely wouldnt, but its a distinct possibility, so personally, I would have hoped he'd see that and return the favour.

If he stayed would of been our highest paid player of all time and eaten way to much of our cap. Thanks for his service while he was here but luckily we didn sign him for 750

but with Gal retiring most likely next season, it would go back to how it is now.

Granted i still dont think Fifita was worth what we or the Dogs offered. Perfect example of a player in the right form at the right time. He is a media love boy right now, and has been since origin last year. This also helped him. If he was just a hard worker getting no credit, paperrs wouldnt be working up his offers with minute by minute commentary of the development of his signing
