Sharkies!

ran 3 blocks to Tankerville in Fitzroy to watch this (after I heard Carney scored I couldn't miss the rest of the game)

how good was that? Warriors had no answer!

still good to know we still have players to coming back!

Yeah, Graham in particular. The bloke was just owning that left hand side before the rot set in. With Gallen, Smith and Carney back Graham and Toops are a luxury. Mmm, I think I'm getting optimistic...or very drunk. Either way I'll be watching todays game a few more times.

Haha, very, very wrong. I never really rated Blair to be honest. I think 2012 has proved me right. More overpaid than Sandow and that's saying something.

Blair is a terrific ruck defender but offers very little in attack unless you structure play around him like they did in Melbourne. The Tigers aren't doing it right.

Still overpaid thought Mr Wright. I've never seen someone back into the defence more than him. I wouldn't swap him for any of our backrowers.

We look much better when we play deeper. Carney had options today and Best really stepped up. Carney is very hard to stop when he has options insid and out. Apart from his kicking Robson was a good foil for Carney today.

This.

That is the best i've seen our backline look for ages. More space, more time and more options. It's much harder to stop someone like Best when he comes at the defensive line with a bit of momentum.

Yeah wasn't disagreeing with the overpaid part, just saying he can be a handy player if utilized well.

Sharks crush woeful Warriors in Auckland
Sydney Morning Herald
Todd Carney and Paul Gallen returned in brilliant style as Cronulla all but ended the Warriors' NRL playoff hopes with a 45-4 drubbing in Auckland on Sunday. Carney scored 25 points, including the first two of their seven tries, while landing eight-from-eight ...

Sharks coach fumes over Carney rumours

While Carney, Tupou, Fafita and Best all had good games, I want to give wraps to Mathew Wright. He isn't flashy but boy he is so reliable as our fullback. For the last three years I have been getting palpitations everytime a high ball goes up for our fullback but have started to relax now that Matty is there fulltime.

Also noticed today he is starting to sniff around the ruck when Tupou does his hit ups....looking for the offload. He will start making some breaks soon - Give him time....

Great win today sharks. Tough to win over here. Played some decent football as well.
Tupou was fantastic again like I said he would be when injury free and finally playing with some decent halves around him. Great to prove the knockers wrong.
Some others down on form Degois, Bakuya were good as well.

3- Carney, nothing better when runs at the line, great goal kicking
2 - Tupou, getting more and more confident
1 - Best, make a great try saving tackle first half sign him for another year.

Just got back from the game. Man that was good to see the boys shaft the warriors like that.
Warriors were flat and the home crowd was giving it to them. Started leaving with 15 to go. Up up Sharkies. Yeah boi.

What a performance from the Sharkies! It's great to see the boys back out there tearing up the paddock. That game was an absolute credit to Shane Flanagan.

You see, just when I was having a good day Flanagan goes and bangs on about this. FFS, if untrue rumours affect a player this much he isn't a mental giant is he. The only reason Carney should let this affect his performance is if it was true. Get the **** over it and keep playing like we did today.

The first thing i thought when i heard him saying this was he was coming out and defending him publicly to try and win kudos with Carney (you know with the recent media speculation about Stuart signing at the eels and targeting certain origin players for the eels in 2013/14). Probably me being a bit too cynical though.

Acknowledging it in the media only encourages it to continue. Like acknowledging it in here.
