I thought our local Councillors were bad on the Gold Coast. FMD. What a Muppet.

He has always been a loud mouth nuffie with no real control over his verbal diarrhea.

His arguments during this process has made little to no sense and has had a tendency to contradict himself.

Yet he calls himself a Sharks supporter???

i liked "the end of the Sharks footy club as we know it" bit; the end of constant debt and uncertainty?? That's what I voted for! Toolbox.

i could be wrong, but we didnt sell shark park to the developers did we?

i thought we sold the surrounding areas and its up to us to develop the stadium down the track with our own money and grants from the gov. (if they give us any).

so if that is true, i dont know how they will "swollow" shark park....capsis has no idea.

Correct. The Shark Park land is still ours.

The only grey area is the Peter Burns stand and how it interacts with the Leagues club. As that stand, the Leagues club, and the shopping centre development will all be structurally linked I'm not sure how that works exactly. I'm not sure if the Leagues club becomes a strata unit owner for example.

The ET stand side is the side close to the residential side and from what I understand there's quite a large buffer between the two with no chance of that development creeping into the stadium land due to the storm water drain there.

It's just a bizarre statement to make.

Bump.

Anyone here going to speak?

How I'd love to.

I sincerely hope anyone with the slightest inclination to speak here gets up and does so. Please do not let nerves or lack of confidence stop you. All the rhetoric in the world will be beaten by the voice that people actually believe.

If anyone wants a hand ordering their thoughts or looking over their notes for minor, friendly critique and advice I'm happy to.

This is your friendly reminder that anyone wishing to address the PAC Panel on Thursday, 26th need to register their intention to do so before 2pm Monday

Speakers are also asked to note the changes that have been made to the proposal since it was exhibited. The changes are described in the Department’s Assessment Report. Speakers are asked to focus their comments on the Assessment Report and Recommended Conditions.

If you would like to comment on the Department’s recommendation you can register to speak at the meeting by contacting Mrs Greyce Fernandes on (02) 9383 2112 or email pac@pac.nsw.gov.au by 2 pm, Monday, 23 July 2012.

Mate I can't get there to speak but I am more than happy to help review and advise any presentations that people may have. Not suggesting that I know better but maybe another voice or opinion may be of assistance !

At today's PAC Meeting:

80.61% of presentations spoke in favour of the proposal

19.39% of presentations spoke against the proposal.

Thanks to all those who got down there today to speak in support of the development. It was a great day, I spoke before lunch and was impressed by the quality and quantity of speakers we had on our team.

On the other hand, I had the unfortunate experience of having to sit through George Capsis' "speech". It was painful. He is actually an asset for us, he makes little to no sense at all.

Were you guys there when Graham Annersley spoke (apparently) in our favour?

Yes.

Very fine speaker who said that he wasn't going to insult the PAC by pretending he knew enough to talk about architectural and design issues.

He then went on to speak of the importance of sport in the lives of the Sutherland Shire Community and beyond and the societal benefits of the proposal.
