Can I just say I have had an awesome time in Taupo. To me the Warriors were a little more hungry today at that proved to be the difference IMO.
On another note me and my son meet some of the CSSC that made the trip over, they were really friendly to us and so passionate, I also introduced myself to Mr Damian Irvine had a very good chat to him and let him know I really appreciate the effort he is putting in to keep my club alive!! He then invited us into his box area and treated us awesome what a legend.

We caught up with Toops before the game to pic up tickets and catch up in general, we were on for a dressing room tour and meet n greet after the game if we had of got the victory but with the loss came a very quick exit by the boys. Oh Damian Irvine also put the offer out there to kick on for celebration drinks but he left with a very unhappy group of men which is understandable.

I will post some pics when I get home as this has been a long day 7hrs to get here and 7hrs to get home but me and my son wouldn't swap this day for anything...

1. Halves need to improve.
2. Can graham not stand deeper when he kicks?
3. No attack on pomms,toops, ak's side.
4. Can gal let the ball get to best sometime? I would love to see best put some footwork on someone. With gal inside him he basically gets gals offloads.
5. Why was Morris off for so long?

Same old Sharks. Can't believe I actually went against my own rule and tipped them this week

Aiton was horrible IMO, we have looked a much better side all season with morris on the field.

Gallen didn't play his best, a couple bad mistakes and penalty.

Attack the RIGHT HAND SIDE MAYBE? we tore up that side last week, why not again?!!

WHAT WERE WE THINKING?!!!!!!!!!!

He's had his fun, Turnstyles Pom to make way for Collis next week. It's time Deano.

I hope Best has a good go at Gallen over his lack of service this game. Gallen is usually a hog, but he was totally blinded by his ongoing niggle with Mannering (which was smart play by their captain)

Hilarious moment in the second half when you could clearly hear someone calling out to Gallen "Pass it ***** ya" and "Go left *****". Perhaps it was Best himself!!!???? LOL

For how bad alot of the guys were, we only went down by 8.

I'm still confident against Manly, don't think we will be that bad two weeks in a row. Although you never know with Cronulla..

Hmmm, no comment about some of these posts about the game and being in NZ.

Bad luck Sharks, am still pumped that we score trys even when we don't play at our best. This is still better then what has been dished up for us fans in the past two years and we have still had a good start to 2011. I am glad we are facing Manly after a loss, this should put some fire back into the bellys.

Cheers guys and safe trip trip home.

gal just needs to do his job. simple. run hard, tackle strong, be scary, lead the team, and dont hog the ball! colin and his winger (wright?) need to start seing some ball. and what happened to poms and toupo and albert. they are the most threatening yet we decided to keep giving it to gallen. Some days tho gallen will hog it but he will cause destruction. today he wasnt. so the team need to stand up and defy gal i think. give the ball to others!

Our goal line attack was (and has been for a while) hopeless. It seems that the boys stand flat and just bullet pass left to right, then back again if there is no success. Our most dangerous play inside the 10 is the inside ball off the dummy to one of the big guys.

Interesting after all this talk about Gal getting in the way - stats show he only made 16 hitups today, and only 17 tackles.

Not mass changes to line up, but definitely the game plan. If we can't beat the team on the bottom of the ladder with it, it's gunna be of no use to us against any other team

Dont forget, while we played horrible, there were a couple of crucial calls which went against us aswell, the break down the touchline shows the KIWI's player clearly in touch and the ball the ref called off smith

I watched the game in the Leagues Club.

Reasonably good crowd and cheap beers.

I think we looked a little under-done and perhaps a little tired. I think the boys preparation this week wouldn't have been ideal with all of the media / community / social work that they would have been required to do.

Warriors were more hungry as they should have been - with the axe falling on so many of their players they were no doubt playing for a spot.

I thought we were mostly ok but sloppy in parts. The Warriors took their chances better than we did and that's what got them the points.

It's not the end of the world and perhaps a really good learning opportunity for the lads. We just have to make sure that the attitude is right going into every game.

Feel a bit bummed out by the result just at the moment but it will not be too long before I'm hanging out for the Heritage Round clash against Manly.

Bring it on!

Hopefully it's the "loss we had to have". Like I mentioned before losing isn't the bad part, it's whether that loss causes more losses or causes the team to learn from their mistakes.

We had a lot of 'rub of the green' in the two wins and we were lacking it in this game. Most of the stats of this game were in our favour and we were in front at half time, and probably should have been much more in front at half time than we were.

I think for the next game the boys should be studying tapes of their own game and each player given detailed feedback of what they did right and wrong. Not sure if that happens normally or not. I actually thought the defence was half decent for most of the game, but the attack was horrible in parts.

If that's the worst as we play for a while, then I would be stoked. We were pretty good today, but couldn't put away our chances and the little things didn't fall our way like they have been. The key to making the finals is ensuring that there isn't a huge gap between your best performances and your worst.

Also, I'm not sure I agree with some people expecting our blokes to rock up every week with that brutal defence that we saw against the Dragons. The Bulldogs did it a few years ago, but they had better depth than we do (thanks in no small part to being over the cap). We need to defend well every week, but I don't think any side could maintain that kind of brutal intensity over a whole season- it would just be too draining. We need to win without it sometimes.

Geez the Maloney and 2nd Fishiahi tries were soft as! Haven't watched the game yet, have only see the highlights and the defense for those two tries were freaking terrible!

Hopefully we use this loss to gee ourselves up for Manly next week.
