if gal is going to call for the ball all day thats fine with me but i would have liked for him to swap for a few sets with toops and atleast be running at some other defenders and test them out..... was looking like we had our old pop gun attack from the last two years going on again... still rekon we attacked very poorly but atleast still crossed the line a few times... bring on the silvertails!!!!
would love to have a year where we stick it to the more faniced teams ie drags storm manly tigers...

I know the feeling around here is always going to be bad after a loss but I didn't think we were too bad. The game could have been won if we were better (i.e. we were not outclassed) but I think they wanted it more. Which is a shame considering we finally had a small winning streak going so you would have thought our boys would hold on to that for dear life.

A friend told me the result before I could watch it so I expected us to be bad so I guess I was just relieved that we did not slip back into the performance we gave in round 1, it was just a case of poor 5th tackle options and a couple of defensive lapses. Well those and their fullback had a killer game.

Questions remain over both Wrights in my opinion, Matt and Brod, but both should be persisted with for now. I also agree with those of you questioning whether Gal does too much. I respect what he does, he is the heart and soul of our team, but the team around him is getting some confidence and have alot to offer and it does seem like he sometimes stands in their way.

Phil Gould used to make the good point that an attacking issue we have with Gal as captain is that opposition teams know if he is close to the play then he will get the ball and it becomes very predictable. He says Gal getting his hands on the ball less and we start throwing dummies to him then it will confuse defences.

I dont really agree with the highlighted part, brod has been making big metres off the bench and he along with cordoba have added great punch if anyone manner is the one who's spot is under threat, I think we have 3 options for a winger matt wright, colin best or stewart mills (if he starts performing consistently) as all of these guys are big and with gards at the back we need to protect him on kick returns. Matt has been making good metres along with hot dog so I don't really think they need to change especially with how hard matty is starting to run at a really young age even though he has been getting hit hard in some tackles but keeps moving his legs
