It takes ONE WIN, ONE WIN is ALL IT TAKES to completely turn around a season!
Look at parra against the Bulldogs last yr.
Last night was very familiar!
GO YOU MIGHTY SHARKIES!!!
I like your optimism but I think in our situation with having a young team and considering the fact that after such a great win we have the bye so we lose our momentum and then have the Dragons who will beat us. I would love for us to be like the Eels and send off Ricky like he deserves but I am quite happy to see us just get better and better and be a force next season.
In regard to last night's game, wow! What a performance! Our best game of the year by far. The team looked like it finally gelled and the best part was that not everyone was perfect but we were still able to put on a performance like that. Our fowards dominated and took no prisoners, our backs ran circles around their team and Barrett was creating opportunities all over the place. I am so proud of our team. Andrew Johns last week said "there is a team in there somewhere", well we got to see it earlier than we thought we would.
Major Positives:
Gardner was outstanding and then scored one of the best Shark tries in history to top it off! Wow! Also Gordon appeared from no where to back him up which is almost as impressive as the try itself. It convinced me we need to not worry about a marquee winger. Keep Gordon for sure!
Toops seemed to back up on last week's form, not being as good but still being better than he has been.
Our forwards are second to none.
Rare negatives:
I really wanted Tautai to do some good things so I could praise him a bit so I wouldn't feel biased but he was **** again and needs to go. He gave away the dumbest penalty of the game, which led to a Roosters try as well, while also missing a really bad tackle by charging out of the line and missing completely which created a line break and almost a try. I can't stand this guy!
Tim Smith was much better and showed I was being an idiot last week for even thinking about dropping him but I would still like to see more from him as it was mainly Barrett.
Cuthbo put on some good shots but still didn't look good and didn't do anything with the ball. He also was carrying it in one hand, dropping it once and looking like he was going to another time.
I haven't looked at any stats or anything but are we conceding alot of line breaks from far up the field? It has looked like we concede alot over the last few weeks and is the weak point in our defence it seems.
