Nikora or McInnes for the medal

Hope Blayke gets motivation from this and the nsw squad call up to push himself and go next level

So what you're saying is: you are right, and no evidence of any kind will make you change your mind. I know you are only 36 posts in but you appear to be getting the gist of this forum. Nice work :)
So what you’re saying is that whatever Fitz would have said you would have agreed to? What evidence are you showing to say that he was our best player? Other than playing every game. Briton did that and was better

That's fine. You can have any opinion you like. It doesn't make you automatically right though. It's just your opinion.

FWIW a player doesn't need to "stand out" to win an award as the bets player on the team. Say the coach does a 5-4-3-2-1 each week someone could lead the tally for the year by never getting 5 points but be being judged the 3rd-5th best player in almost every every game.
Yep, I’m often not right. As is Fitz it would seem

I just think we need to accept that professional players, coaching staff and analysts have a different view of what individually contributes to a teams success than us as fans do.
Nah that's just not true.

I reckon next year Fitz should have a fan poll every week to select the team for the next game. Doubt we'd lose a game.

He was right about not valuing The Pope's input though. That guy knows **** all about Rugby league.
I bet if he watched us against the panthers, the warriors or the finals he would have had Blayke as our worst not best

I didn’t say he was our best player.

I said I can see how any of the top nominees were deserving, and that the coach and other players are evaluating Blayke’a performance using different criteria than you are.

So… evidentially your criteria for evaluating his performance are not in line with those of his coach and teammates, and given that they are paid experts in this field with inside knowledge, and you are some guy on the Internet, I’m going to lean with Fitz and the boys on this one.

Cool. You can probably get a pretty good price for Blayke as Dally M. Sure he was trailing Briton, Kennedy and Hynes when voting went under wraps, but his standout games against the dragons and tigers post this should help.

So Blayke's a downhill dry grass cabbage skiing track bully? Have never heard that one before.

Did Nikora win players player last year? The forum could be 0/2 over the last two years.

This 1000x over.

The coach and team, who spend 40+ hours a week training, playing, and analysing together, are unified in agreeing that a player had a great year. It's crazy that instead of taking this information, and wondering whether they maybe missed something in their two-hour weekly viewing, they instead decide the whole group is wrong.

Whatever you do on this forum bro, the one thing not to do is invite Burgoshark to an evidence fight. A knife fight, gunfight, slam poetry, whatever else is fine, but take him to task on evidence and he will crush you. And he will do it politely.

Walk. Away.

Yet to see compelling evidence that BB is our best player, but it’s all opinion…it’s just that I wholeheartedly agree with mine 😂

But noted on the man the myth the legend Burgo, bracing for impact

I'd say Blayke is the player most likely to be there leading us to our next premiership. He is young and has a long career ahead of him and is years yet away from his peak. He's followed by Briton and Nicho IMO. Well deserved and look forward to watching him keep getting better.

I don't think anyone's going to die on a hill that he's the best. I think he belongs in that top group though.

That aside, wouldn't you say that the consensus of his team and coaching staff is compelling evidence? If that's not compelling, what is?

Agreed. Nobody is trying to prove that he is the best player.

That the coach and his peers think he is a top player IS compelling evidence that there is more to being a good hooker than nrl.com run metres stats.

I’m genuinely interested in how people can land on Blayke being the best player in the club, not the fact that they have. My main issue is that I always thought that Blayke had a massive ceiling, but I’m not seeing it consistently.
