Would have been the same result with Nicho there, just like in jadt year's final.

Yes probably, we got rolled by Souths in the middle again and subsequently exposed on the left edge with some bad reads and tackling. We struggle against a team that plays an up tempo power game like Souths.

Was merely just highlighting what a big deal Nicho is to the team and how cool, consistent and collected he is in spite of how good Trindall was last night. I'm giving a wrap to both players.

Braydon had his head on last night though tbf - even the not finding touch while disappointing as we were still in the game on the scoreboard (though time running down) we weren't the players out there but we could all see them starting to fatigue and making alot of errors.

Braydon might have thought he needs to roll the dice a bit and really get deep into Souths end to have a chance or it might have just been a miss kick and he had no intention of trying to kick it that far up field. If that was his only mistake in round 1 over the 80 mins he has done remarkably well (the forward pass wasn't forward IMO and was just a good play)

It happens somewhat regularly to alot of halves (not finding touch) even if it shouldn't. We are better attacking 20 or 30m out from the opposition try line anyway opposed to within the 10m as then it just becomes crash plays or grubbers

I know it's only round 1, but I really hope we give Trindall and chance with Hynes.

Not against this if Moylan plateaus (or worst regresses). Moylan's a veteran now and he can't use his body as an excuse anymore either. We need better from him and more often in big moments of big games. 1 TA or whatever last night didn't cut it considering his poor defense, passing, lack of penetration ect while his young half next to him did everything right.

I don't wanna put the mockers on Braydon but I am doubtful he can repeat that level of performance week in week out. He has come into the team before and played well for 1 game (last night by far his best) but in time perhaps he can deliver this. With Hynes injury TBA maybe we will find out.

Being constructive not critical - I had my doubts about Braydon coming into this season but last night showed that perhaps there is a permanent place for him in FG afterall if not at the Sharks somewhere else perhaps. Because what he really needs is game time week in week out and Hynes will be back maybe in a few weeks and Mozza still on the books till end of 2024.

He definitely wasn’t the problem last night. Apart from not finding touch with the penalty kick, that’s inexcusable. But overall, I felt he was one of our best and filled in very admirably.

By far Braydon was our best, he got us into and kept us in that game. At least until the 42nd minute when we had our usual half time brain fade and collapse

Braydon could only do so much at that point with the lack of field position and momentum. But overall he was impressive

Great post. Nicho offers much more than just skill. He is inspirational. He is a winner who busts his guy every play.

13 blokes like him and we would be unbeatable.

Nicho takes us from being a good team to an exceptional one - I always feel so much more confident with him out there, that he will never give up and the boys are never out of the game. You follow his lead and things happen.

I think we need Ryan Tilse to do a YouTube montage of Jeff Robson.

Mr. Tilse if you're reading this, please get on to it!

Going so well. Almost a shame Moyza bounced back tonight - imagine having both Hynes and Tricky throwing bombs up

Honestly at this point why wouldn’t you stick with Trindall ? He’s outplayed Moylan in both games he will only get better
