Moyza was struggling with injuries, in and out of team. Good that SJ left, did some good things, but was inconsistent, had mixed games and went missing, doing that at the warriors. As much as most fans bagged Townsend, he probably would've been in good form if they made him the leading/dominant halfback. Good to see he's in form again and found new life. Hope cowies don't go all the way though, don't want to see Holmes and Townsend lift the trophy for them

Walsh only allowed to negotiate with the Broncs and is getting a slight increase on his 400k salary. Despite having a 700k per season offer on the table from the Dolphins. That is such bullshit.

Warriors should try get T.Martin, be their 5-8, Volkman 7, Egan 9, CNK 1, decent spine. Keep Arthars also, add more NZ born players

They picked up CNK, who yeah could play centre but depends what their plan is for him. If he's their fullback then Metcalf's situation hasn't changed too much imo.

If the NRL are fair dinkum, they'll tell the Broncos his contract needs to be registered at market value... but seeing it's the Broncos, they'll probably get a discount for looking after the poor kid.

Surely his manager could tell Dolphins ‘we have permission for a release but only if it’s to broncos. They are offering 600k (or whatever it is), if you are interested and can beat that by enough I think I can shake off the only to broncos requirement’

And then when they say right we’d pay 850/900k for him you
A) go to Warriors ‘look you’ve already agreed for a release and have a replacement sorted, surely you won’t stand in our way for this better offer he has received?’ and get media involved if needed.

B) go back to Broncos and say ‘We came to you first but Dolphins have been in touch and are offering a lot more, can you make these numbers a bit closer for us or we might have to start looking dolphins way’

I feel like our best football during the SJ era was done without SJ. Flanno and CT7 had a nice little run before Princess returned from injury

Another player suddenly realised New Zealand was in a different country!

The Warriors recruitment process should begin with the prospective player being required to identify both Australia and New Zealand on a map and demonstrate they are aware the significant body of water between the two will mean they can't nip over to Mum's for Sunday dinner.

Well I think him being caught cheating and his missus leaving him with their daughter and staying in QLD was probably the major factor in this case.

Presumably if they stay together she+daughter moves to NZ with him

It's an interesting recruitment tactic but I can't say for certain that who he cheated with wasn't being paid by Broncos...
