Well stop the clock for goalkicks if that's what you're worried about. It's part of the fabric of the game, leave it alone.
You mean like contested scrums, cornerposts, and kicking over the sideline to give your forwards a rest?
The don’t give a toss about the fabric of the game mate. They care about what makes it look better on TV.
The ULTIMATE miss
More than 1 way to win a game. Nothing wrong with that. They're not all gonna be 8 try action packed turn outs and that's ok.Great tactics from sticky but f me that was cynical negative play and a **** of a way for an opposition and it's fans to lose a game.
The Raiders a few seasons ago played us at home and closed the game out in the second half by taking penalty goals against us. They didn't really need the 2 points on the scoreboard but simply did it to waste like 2-3 mins of game time on each occasion. They used the clock to beat us instead of doing it on the field. The penalty goal in those situations is essentially worth more than the 2 points to the team leading.
We were still in that game until we had to watch Jarrod croker standing around near a kicking tee
Don't give away penalties? Sure, but not the point I am making
Some things in the fabric are worth tearing at
Making "some positive quick win changes that potentially adds to the games excitement" is exactly what they were attempting but as you admit most have been bad. The corner post change was the only good one. Put your hands in your pockets and stop fiddling.Exactly, they have been messing with the game for many years, alot of changes for the worse, dumbing the game down in the interests of speeding it up or making it more simple. Why not make some positive quick win changes that potentially adds to the games excitement and credibility and value for fans.
I'm okay with losing contested scrums too, they sound good in principle then you see what Union scrums have descended into...Making "some positive quick win changes that potentially adds to the games excitement" is exactly what they were attempting but as you admit most have been bad. Yeah I hardly remember contested scrums in League & what I've seen of Union's I don't think we're missing out.I'm okay with losing contested scrums too, they sound good in principle then you see what Union scrums have descended into...
Give the teams a different look to attack from too, sometimes you even get a neat play...
Love how the kids think spirit fingers makes a difference... Ah, I mean how they know it does...Yep, caused by spirit fingers
I guess now we know why we lost all those games on goal kicking in 2019.Love how the kids think spirit fingers makes a difference... Ah, I mean how they know it does...
That's quite the accusation mate, should we call the cops?Sparkles isn’t putting in boys.
Hangable offence in the old days. Don't know what pops would make of it.Ease up lads. It's not his fault. He accidentally drank a 0% beer once. Hasn't been the same since.
Still is in some parts.Hangable offence in the old days.
Was definitely putting up one spirited finger after those kicksI guess now we know why we lost all those games on goal kicking in 2019.

The 2022 season is only weeks away now and for us Sharks fans the expectations are high and we are all keen to see how our new recruits go.
We all know Fitz is defence oriented, so hopefully that will steel up our defence (Steve Price will also help) but what about our attack?
How will we play? Have we seen the end of the predictable inside balls and easy to read decoy plays?
Will our players be more attuned to supporting line breaks and have the energy and drive we all crave?
Let us all know your thoughts, what do you think our new playing style will be like?
Agreed mate, although I'd love to see Hunt in there too but I understand he will probably need some time to get up to speed.Currently I’m thinking swap Moylan and trindall and Talakai in for Wilton
But trials may change that
Should get some good minutes over next couple trials to make a case for himselfAgreed mate, although I'd love to see Hunt in there too but I understand he will probably need some time to get up to speed.
