• Jaden Sancho: Dortmund ==============================> Manchester United is done pending a medical. Fee approx £75 mil plus performance add ons which could take it up to £80 mil. Yes i made a long arrow because its taken 17 ****ing months for them to finish the deal. A CB is now the priority and the top target is apparently Varane, who is apparently keen to go to United. They desperately need a CDM as well but it looks long odds to happen.

Varane is off contract at the end of the next season and at this stage is refusing to renew. I agree theres a chance Real Madrid cave in to what he wants and he signs, but if they don’t, then there’s a good chance they cash in on him now and go with Alaba and Kounde or Torres next season. With Ramos gone to PSG, United is the only option being discussed at the moment. He’s also apparently pissed that he was offered to PSG as ‘makeweight’ for Mbappe.
Could go either way this one. So many different contradictory things are being said so it really is a wait and see thing.
If United do pull off the deal, a Maguire/Varane partnership might just be what they need. Providing they get the right CDM.

If thats the case then why are they asking Varane to take a pay cut? I really doubt they can afford Mbappe without offloading more then just Bale. Dont forget they just sign Alaba on big wages and they’re still not in the best place financially.
Apparently a cash plus player deal is potentially being explored involving Diego Dalot.
The Varane to United deal is definitely nowhere near impossible, as incompetent as the board is.

Yeah im skeptical as well but that has more to do with my complete lack of any confidence in this board, just used to disappointment I guess. However I think Real Madrid are in enough of a financial hole that it makes it possible. The deal definitely isn’t impossible though. Word is Varane wants a new challenge as well and is pissed by his treatment from the club recently, so I don’t know. My hopes aren't that high, but not non existent.

To me CDM was their biggest hole. They cant go into the season with a McTominay/Fred as the CDM next to Pogba or Van Der Beek. Or alarmingly worse: a Fred/McTominay pivot. A CDM SHOULD of been the highest priority.

I dont think they can afford him after what they paid for Sancho, unless a deal involving Lingard can happen, but even then it would be too much for the incompetent Man United board. I’d go for Bissouma if I’m United but they won’t.
