After a discussion with a few of our resident football nuts, we’ve come to the conclusion that we need a seperate rumour mills thread for the Prem due to how busy this upcoming transfer window is about to be. So this thread is the place to discuss, debate, debunk and decry any and all rumours regarding the best football league in the world next to the A-League.

Lallana -> Southampton or Leicester - 15mil
Harry Wilson -> West Ham or Villa - $25Mil
Dejan Lovren - Bayer Leverkusen -> 25 Mil

How’s Sturridge travelling anyway? Would he be a good pickup for Leicester at this stage of his career?

He had 0 injuries this year, scored arguably our goal of the season v Chelsea

attitude got him in the end, much like shaqiri - shaqiri will be spared but sturridge wont

i also think sturridge will be replaced by rhian brewster and we also have bobby duncan

all in all, he would be good for a team 7th to 14th, he isnt what he was and unfortunately his body has let him down

Sounds like a gamble that a club that Leicester should definitely take.

Sturridge to Leicester is a decent shout. I think he would still only be backup there though. I liked him this season for his attitude but really don’t rate him at all anymore and he would still need to up his game to fit in with Leicester who looked great and rejuvenated this season.

I’d be happy to see it, I rate Sane very highly. I can’t think of anyone else who is attainable that would be an upgrade for his position. Can you?

The only realistic ones I’ve seen for United lately are:

Matthijis De Ligt
Aaron Wan-Bisska
Declan Rice
Kalidou Koulibaly (about to put this in the unrealistic category, I’d rather De Ligt anyway)
Jan Oblak (Probably another unrealistic one, but it keeps hanging around, IMO if we lose De Gea and can’t get Oblak, just toss the gloves to Romero, he has not had one bad game for United, Big clubs should never be afraid to promote from within, even after a bad season)
Harry McGuire (Probably not and I hope not)

There’s heaps more, especially from Portugal and France, but with so so so so many ****ing rumour going on about United, I just picked ones I’ve seen the most and are realistic in my eyes.

You’ve also been linked with Maddison and Joao Felix. I think both would be good signings, but that if it’s true, you would only get one and Maddison would be the more likely with Felix heading to City.

I’d take Maddison at the right price, but I think Leicester will ask for a ridiculous fee. In such a case I would stay clear, but he would be a good replacement for Lallana and would also contribute to the English quota.

Pretty sure he’s a Man Utd fan too, not sure how much bearing that has on transfers but worthwhile noting.
