Did I do it to you again? Gotta start checking more than one page! Was away camping ...

That’s two beers I owe you on Rivett! Can’t believe I’ve stuffed up so many times on the one Burleigh player we signed!

Well Bomber has apparently confused me as well about Rivett.

From his interview........ "As you mentioned, Luke Metcalf, a local junior, he's come back to us from Manly, made a real good impression for us, and I've got high hopes for Luke throughout the year but we have also got three or four other development players there.... we have Ryan Rivett that we brought down from the Gold Coast Titan's system, he's a young half prospect that is going to be good for us, Jack Martin out of the Broncos system... a front row forward, he's been outstanding....... Jonaiah Lualua, another guy who come through our system is really impressing as well, so they're all development players......."

And I’ve never even heard of the bloke before!

What are you coming fused about? The number? Think he just is mentioning the new ones not Vasquez and Ferris who were Dev players last season

I feel like Milne's name has been tied around for a while?

Thanks mate.

Good to have it confirmed. All of those guys have been training since day one.

It would be good to see what Josh Carr can bring now that he is finally healthy. He was a weapon in 20’s but has basically missed two full seasons.

Agreed, he's missed alot of football but has alot of good attributes, good size, aggressive. Probably will need to spend a fair bit time in the Jets though. Especially with the depth we have at the moment in the backrow.

Geez good size, good luck to him. Seems the Proto type FR/SR forward 2021 style 192/3cm up, slim athletic, sub 110kg

Article from the tele covering promising juniors at each club.

SHARKS
Franklin Pele (prop): A massive 125kg Junior Paulo-type build with hands like dinner plates. Big and powerful with good leg drive. Still eligible for Jersey Flegg but just about ready to bulldoze his way into the top grade.
Jonaiah Lualua (fullback/winger): An outside back with size and speed, he was a member of the Sharks’ premiership-winning 2018 Jersey Flegg side at just 18 before an injury interrupted 2019 was followed by the COVID shutdown that has limited his development. Still only 20, he’s on the development list.
Jack Martin (prop): From Ipswich, the big redhead has arrived at Cronulla from the Broncos’ system and is a no-frills, run hard, tackle hard type of prop. Played in Queensland’s successful under-18s team in 2019.
Luke Metcalf (halves/fullback): A local junior who went to Manly but has returned for 2021. Has blistering speed and it was on show at the NRL Nines in Perth where he scored three tries in as many games. Played a lot of halves coming through but was training at fullback at the Sea Eagles.
Jenson Taumoepeau (centre): A big ball-playing centre who looks super fit. Came over from New Zealand to play a year up in SG Ball a few years back and has now progressed into the top-30 squad. John Morris has blooded 11 debutants over the past two seasons so he’s shown that he’s not frightened to put faith in the youngsters with ability.

HB will be happy to have a ranga on the books.
