Zach Dockar-Clay? Did he have a brother who broke his neck or something for Penrith? That bloke was a brick wall in defence

Adam Docker
Can’t remember what specifically his health issues were, could have been neck injury.
Nigel Plum was another defensive weapon who struggled with injuries around similar time

T looked good but is pretty small, guess it depends on Williams being in or out, cause he small as well. Our packs really not that big with those 2 in together.
Morris is keen on mobile forwards is my impression, so he may prioritise that over size. Talakai was very good Júnior and Hunt strikes me as a journeyman, so I’d be more interested in seeing wether T can go on with it. I guess in the same way Feki did when he came here.

The issue of middle vs edge forwards may have a bigger role to play though I guess.

Yes will be very interesting, our Forward Pack Make up, both in the starting side and bench. Good first indication Sund as that Manly Starting pack look big.

Seems that Bomber is starting to favour a few youth guys now over a few experienced guys, Boogs left out completely over Sorenson, a bit surprised he seems to favour him over Boogs tbh. I thought Wade got injured in one of the last games aswell.

Wade and Ronnie both went off injured last weekend but were cleared fit to play.
Some chance they still don’t play though just to be safe.

The fact Boogs hasn’t got a run anywhere says a lot, he has fallen a long way it seems.

Seems that Boogs may just be on his way out I feel, hasn't got a run under Bomber anywhere for quite a while now.

I've got a mate who's a Manly fan I was talking to last night, what he said makes sense, to play very close to a full strength team is a risk, what if 1-2 get injured, we've got quite a few injuries then to start the season. Trials shouldn't mean much sometimes. He'd rather start the season close to full strength then have to start with 50% reserves for example.

Risk of injuries vs match practice for your 1st stringers
Always a toss up

If they are 100% fit no particular reason to try and protect them from injury by having less practice before the season starts

With a fit squad how do you decide which 1-2 might get injured? Could hold off your big money players but at the same time they are important to your team (especially if they are spine players) so it helps everyone to practice with them, and then to practice with everyone.

Always an interesting debate especially the 2nd trial game, the top players do need match practice & combinations going especially only a week from the first match. At the same time, we've already got enough injuries to start the year we don't want many more injuries. Maybe give them 1/2-3/4 of the match then take off a few is the way to go.
