So Dino has resigned from his role at the Star Casino to focus on the Sharks

more likely to focus on his hand shaking of PM Morrison and carve out his next career move

Hmm might be something more to that completely unsubstantiated rumour I heard about something going down at Star which I dismissed out of hand.
The word "resigned" can mean multiple things.

The Directors gig at the Sharks must have some serious side benefits for him to walk away from a seemingly well paid job at the Star

Rothfield is reporting that there’s been a falling out between chairman Dino Mezzatesta and the directors about the future direction of the club, Dino looks set to walk away. Anyone know if there’s any truth to this? Or is Rothfield making **** up again? The club is unstable as it is, we don’t need another change at the top.

Not sure if this has been posted already. From Phil Rothfield today:

There is drama at the Sharks with the non-appearance of chairman Dino Mezzatesta at Saturday night’s game against the Rabbitohs. Mezzatesta says he was at his mum’s birthday but others suggest there has been a fallout with directors over the future direction of the club and he is set to walk away.

Yeah I mentioned it earlier but didn’t put the full article down.

Boards own Personal motives at its finest! It would be great if we just have a board, that worked as a team.

I hope Dino sticks around. I don’t know all the ins and outs, but he always speaks impressively and seems to be one of the few on the board who has that real corporate experience we need over the next few years, and when working out how to manage $40 million.
