wasn't flash - didn't need to be

did a good simple job for us in attack and defense with some occasional aggression. didn't make mistakes either, unlucky not to get more games

good luck to him

He's a good player. A victim of our depth in the forwards. Good luck Ava

when he walked to the wrong end of the field?

what was Flanno personally embarrassed or something or he felt Ava doesn't pay enough attention?

He was solid but wasn’t really making himself an invaluable member of the team, then Woods got signed and he was the obvious choice to get bumped even if he hadn’t been concusses and gone to the wrong end of the field

keep in mind that at the time of signing Ava there was far less depth and certainty in our forwards stocks going into season 2018, in fact we were looking genuinely light on for cattle

Latimore, our resident bench plodder was gone, Hino moved on as was Taga and Trex broke his arm and hadn't worked out for us. We had yet to debut the likes of Uele and Jack Williams so they were an unknown first grade wise for us. Woods had not yet signed with us either.

Flanno had to buy some pigs and Ava gave us some good service in return, through no fault of his own finds himself without a NRL club

Ava was a solid signing at the time given what was available and if releasing him gets us cap compliant its worked out very well.
