He’s played a dozen or so first grade games for Souths, was playing for us in Jets last season. I only watched about 5 or so games but every time I watched him, he was very very impressive. Strong and runs hard.

While it makes sense to want tall, strong wingers (aka Mulitalo/Dugan), Katoa's finishing ability shouldn't be underrated.

Yes wingers will get some gimmes, but how many tries did Val score for us that no one else would have?
