EvertonShark can testify to this. Any player with the name Michael in it. Apparently I've been spelling that one wrong for years.......

Amazing how bent out of shape some people get over spelling ir punctuation mistooks
Personally I couldn't give a rats ar*e about such triviality . The message being conveyed is what is important .
Is it not ?

Yes Egg, but if the spelling and grammar is poor you'll find it hard to get your message across.
If we have this sort of attitude the English language will disappear in about 30 years. As most on here know I recruit young people for Apprenticeships and Traineeships and the test results they have and their writing and English skills are poor. It's quite sad really.

I consider myself quite lucky that I was given the knack of being able to see a word in my head spelt correctly as soon as it was said. Not sure where I got this from but I'm sure glad I did!

I wouldn't worry, our Government will probably legislate somehow. Anyone found guilty of improper use of the english language will be sent to Christmas Island.

Can I just pick on you for a sec? It ****s me when people can't spell Michael. There is always someone that spells it Micheal. Obviously being called Michael, I've seen it spelt incorrectly many times over the years. Now if my name was an uncommon one or had a weird spelling, fair enough but seriously Michael is one of the most common names. How do people keep ****ing it up? To make matters worse, former NRL player Micheal Luck (played for the Warriors and Cowboys) spelt it "e" first.

Is there a problem with that?

Maybe it'll be replaced by a language that makes sense.

Ha ha slide, yes, sometimes it comes across like that. But I just fear what it will be like when I'm in my 80s or 90s (assuming I get that far). I won't be able to understand a thing I reckon. The fact that I might just be a little gaga might have something to do with it as well! :)

Free beer and pepsi max for all. I'll definitely be on a boat back from Christmas Island for that.

Will welcome you with open arms HB but I suspect you will be with us in the first place.

Your spelling and grammar is always very good, your posts are entertaining and easy to read and you get your message across with great aplomb!

Now, with you being one of the older posters, I'm a bit disappointed you didn't reply to my post re spelling of Rowland Beckett's name.

See , that's the problem with the Old English/Latin language .If your parents instead named you Mykel as it sounds . There wouldn't be a drama .
