Probably more filthy about this than I will be about anything Nrl related this year. When supporters of every club are sympathetic rather than hating on us as usual its clear how big of a **** up this is. Sooner heads roll in the positions that matter the better.

Does Greenburg have to reapply for his position every few years or are we stuck with him for decades?

I find this whole thing way more infuriating than I probably should. I think it's just typical of the NRL. And as Addy said, this has just zapped any of the tiny amount of Good Will I had left towards these clowns.
I agree. It is a strange thing to be upset about but given that the Sharks created a lot of momentum for the women's game it is a complete CNUT act to cut them out of it at this stage.

NRL have successfully pissed away any good will I held for them, which wasn't much.

this code out does it self each year in ways you cannot imagine.

It really is a death of one thousand cuts with the NRL. Short term dollars wins over long term development in every case.

I'll support the Sharks, but Super Rugby and AFL will be pocketing my money

Go watch some NSW Cup games. The guys who play at that level are still good footballers and the games are still entertaining. Plus you get to sit nice and close, you don't have to drink out of plastic cups and if you have kids the clubs go out of their way to accommodate them. I cancelled my Foxtel subscription and these days I spend more time reading and watching QRL/NSWRL content and I don't feel like I am missing out by not seeing NRL games. It's actually refreshing to watch footy without the hype, or video replays, or golden point. I still watch the Sharks' games on nine or on replay through the week - but I've tuned out of the "NRL" as a competition and would rather watch Mackay v Townsville than Brisbane v Canberrra.

Found this link to a petition, for anyone who wants to contribute.

All groups and people need a united voice in this! Most people who have experienced Women's League, know what we have done to pioneer this, it transcends past club support. This is just WRONG!

Sign the Petition
Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks Football Club- Women’s League: The Cronulla Sharks Women’s team to be included in the NRL.

Brett Kimmorley was in line to be the womans coach - such a shame

It would have be good for him and would have been a great coach for our girls

Let's hope it isn't over for 2018 and the NRL can see some sense and decency. Next year is too late, we lose momentum and probably a bunch of the players we developed

4 Teams is more or less a round robin, does top 2 go straight to grand final???, seriously...

That being the set up (round robin) it's even more farcical that we didn't get in. Particularly at the expense of the Roosters who are pretty much doing **** all in the womens game.

The Rooster will just do what they normally do in the NRL.
Wait for someone else to spend time and money in developing players and then poaching them!
Nothing new from them!

Yep. You'd have to imagine that our whole team will just be transferred over to them (the stars at least), so yeah.

It's diabolically shonky.

Apparently the sharks have upset may at NRL HQ over the last few years by going so hard on the womans game. The NRL have had no control and hasnt gone down well.

Also, do not underestimate some powerful players handywork in all of this. (think Rorters) As for the Tarsha Gale....that is sanctioned by the NSWRL, not the NRL. Importasnt to understand they will be run by different entities.

This is hysterical if true. How dare we try and promote the women's game. What a disgrace we are.

Greenturd is so ****. **** all the idiots that wanted him as CEO.

Yep.

When he read out punishment for Manly the other day he started with "I have today handed down........." Not we, or the NRL.

Turnbull is the same. Always wary of ****wits that talk like that.

Maybe what their aim is is to introduce the Women's Sharks team as an expansion in a few years time once the other teams have poached all the good players, as they don't want a newly entered Sharks team having a chance at a title win so early on in their existence.

Hard enough trying to get rid of the men's team from the comp without doubling the task.

From the other forum.

there was a 40 player nationwide squad named a few weeks ago by the Nrl that they will primarily draw on to fill the 4 teams. Out of that squad of 40.......5 were Sharks..... 4 were Rabbits.....4 were Dragons and none were Roosters.
