also at full fitness nicho is one of the elite halves in the compIf they cant get him to go another level next year, bring the x factor out of him or get him more involved in attack (and not just sweep plays), then we need to move on for 2026, dont want to pay more money to extend.
We are missing that extra attacking option/threat and we need it when the halves cant create anything or are under pressure, especially in big games.
Not hating on Nicho or Will, but if Nicho got back to full fitness and trained again at fullback think he becomes one of the elite fullbacks in the comp. He could tear it up roaming at the back and the best thing is playing in the halves has made him solid in defense. You get Tricky and Atko kicking teams to death and playing that long game and focusing on field position getting into the grind and wearing teams down, then Nicho can be the general at the back communicating with defense and attack
But hes not though is he.also at full fitness nicho is one of the elite halves in the comp
Bad form Nicho I still wouldn't take Brown or Metcalf over him.But hes not though is he.
As a 7 youd pick Cleary, Hughes, DCE, Moses and Walker over him (and Trindell)
As a 6 youd have Brown, Munster, Luai over him
Christ i wish we still had Metcalf, him and Tricky would be phenomenonal to watch

He's been good, wouldnt say elite, an elite halfback manages games well, he's not there yet. He also hasnt handled the origin period well 2 years straight now and its affected his form.also at full fitness nicho is one of the elite halves in the comp
See I don't think trindall is doing most of the organizing. He is getting more involved and taking more kicks but not doing the organising. He's been good, wouldnt say elite, an elite halfback manages games well, he's not there yet. He will most likely shift to five eighth now that they've seen what Tricky can do
Nicho's strength is his running game. When he had two properly working legs again I'll think we'll see that come backHe's been good, wouldnt say elite, an elite halfback manages games well, he's not there yet. Tricky will in time, first year fulltime in the halves, and its been disruptive, but he's had a good season over all. Think we see him be the more dominant half next year continuing from back end of this season, which helps him develop and mature more as a game manager and organiser. Gus, Joey, Cronk and other commentators have said he is the halfback and needs to be, its not some media agenda on Nicho, its obvious Hynes should be a running five eigth picking his moments and not being the dominant half steering the team.See I don't think trindall is doing most of the organizing. Had bad luck with injuries this year, i agree his strength is his running game, better suited to five eighth if he is not up for game management or being more of an organising halfback.Nicho's strength is his running game. TBF.Again with the let’s move someone on talk with no plan and Nicho to fullback. Sheesh.
TBF.
Sharkfox had a plan.
Kennedy would have to be one of the safest Fullback's in the competition. Not to mention that if Kennedy lacks some X factor in attack, he's safe as houses... Same can not be said of Walsh and Drinkwater which were the two examples used... or even Nicho.
And yet he's one of the bottom 3 fullbacks in the league, or so I've read.Kennedy would have to be one of the safest Fullback's in the competition.
