Will we make this grand final?

I'm curious of what everyone thinks we will achieve this year. This is far from counting my chickens but I believe we will make the grand finals, I dunno if we will win it though. Anything is possible once the GF comes around.

quite possibly the best outcome for a semi final. I hope the bash the **** out of each other next week

im just remembering 2008.

I think our boys just need a week off, only doing some light ****, then get into it next week. Hopefully whoever wins next weekend pick up a few injuries/suspension

The weeks break is golden for us right now, and my money is on us playing the Storm in the grand final.

Whether I think we can take the Storm is a function of how much I've had to drink.

If we play Brisbane I'm backing us in. But if we play the Cowboys, well I'm not as confident, facing Thurston in a prelim scares the crap outta me.

JT aint that scary these days, we have done well in the past restricting him and some games against us he has had shockers. He's just a bloke, put him under pressure and it can effect his performance even if he manages to rise up in key moments. The cowboys arn't just about JT, they got Morgon, Tomollololol ect

Trying to look at the Pro/Cons of playing the respective teams.

Cows
-We have beaten them in a previous finals game in Sydney (2013 IIRC)
-Our games against them are typically closely contested
-I don't think we will see anything like the semi last year where they destroyed us up in Townsville
-Cowboys struggle away from home
- Forward pack more size and power than ours
- So called Premiership hang over, doesn't seem to be effecting them but do they have the same amount of desire as last year? I would think so but mentally will it play a role?

Some of these things are also true of the Broncos ofcourse but worth mentioning
- Don't seem to be in the form of the Cowboys (Titans game wasn't convincing)
- However they are probably going to get better as confidence continues to grow
- More of an unknown quantity, what team will show up? If it's their best and they are on for 80 mins we could struggle
- Bennet has a knack of outcoaching our gameplans and exposing our players weaknesses
- They are motivated after last years GF hearbreak

All things considered I think I may prefer playing the Cows as I feel more like you know what you're gunna get and we can plan ahead. Yes if we are good enough we should beat anyone but that doesn't mean we don't consider preferences in our own minds

No team scares me anymore all on par with each other imho. Will feel quietly confident against anyone. I go from having a great time all weekend to getting back in Melb, then finding out this morning a close friend who was a keen sharks supporter I'd converting him over the last 20 plus years has had a non survivable brain heamorage last night, and is now on life support waiting to dish out his organs (49yo) .. Life's is short live large..

Terrible news Vic, really sorry to hear that mate, hope your doing ok under the circumstances

A guy we work with had a heart attack last week on the job and passed away later that day after emergency surgery, was only in his 40's and a really nice bloke. We thought he was on holidays but then a co-worker told us what happened
Really shocked us, you never know how life gunna pan out

GF will be a rematch with Melbourne. I am beginning to think we really can win as opposed to hoping.
