Inglis will command 1 mil alone. Tamou 400k. Farah would be about the same if not 450k. That's a lot of money right there on top of trying to retain Carney also. His contract won't stay on 300k after next year.
Tupou (released), Pomeroy (needs to go) , Morris (retire), Ross (retire) also the 800k increase in the cap. I don't see why we can sign at least 1-2 top players for next 2014.
Agreed mate I said the same thing. Also don't see the point in getting rid of three players as suggested just to sign one playerYeah you are right. My figures were being generous. But still to the same point. We could no way get those 3 players and still keep our top players here.
We should be in the market next season for a prop to replace Ross, a Hooker to replace Morris/De Gois/Robson and a solid back that is an improvment on our currnet stock.
Prop:
Plan A: James Tamou
Plan B: Aiden Tolman
Hooker:
Plan A: Robbie Farah
Plan B: Nathan Peats
Back:
Plan A: Greg Inglis
Plan B: Kane Linnett
Hopefully we are able to sign atleast one plan A, which would mean either Inglis, Farrah or Jame Tamou, i doubt we would be lucky enough to get 2 Plan A's but anything is possible.
out of the list i would chose.
Greg Inglis
Nathan Peats
Aiden Tolman
All players are currently off contract next season.
If we were to lose carney (think parra will have a crack at him) then we need to sign benji
And I think with the players we have and what is happening in tiger land it wouldn't be that hard
Agreed sharkyboy... I think Benji can disrupt a side too much tbh I think he is part of the reason tigers have been so unsuccessfulId still focus on keeping carney before we even had to think about that
i know we need people for other positions but i hope we don't over look the option of ahsley graham
I think another 2-3 back rowers and we will be set for the premiership
