Nah i have spoken to a few people cowboys and he has a huge chip on his shoulder, won't leave cowboys and I wouldn't want his agorance in our team. Yes he is a good player. But his age, personality wouldnt mix with the direction the club is heading. Townsend is Better in this area.

Arogance is some times needed. It means he won't hit a form slump very often because he always has confidence in himself. Also, it means his performance doesn't differ due to his confidence unlike Todd Carney.

Thurston in a heartbeat. Best half in the game since Alfie (yes I rate him above Johns)

i think we will be pretty quiet in recruitment next year... will be all about keeping the squad we have now and throwing more cash at carney to keep him here.. we have signed alot of players last 2 years...

Dont know who, I would prefer to wait 8 games in to season 2013 & see where we really are lacking & sign a marquee player in that postion.

How about producing a junior or two?

We have a bit of an ageing squad at the moment, so I'd like to see us gradually introduce some younger guys here and there over the next couple of years. The best place for younger guys to learn is around a group of older heads. I think a young and enthusiastic prop to eventually replace Ross would be a good start.

Packer to replace Ross for me. Introduce Peachey, Mills and any good 20's players we have in short spurts to develop them IMO.

Really? What did Alfie do that influenced Johns? Two different halfbacks you couldn't find.

Alfie's side of the boot grubber would be an example. Never said that they were the same, but for mine Alfie stood out head and shoulders when there were plenty of top shelf halfbacks running about

Alfie used to get in trouble for 'tripping tackles', ie making contact with his body and then using his legs to trip them up, everyone seems to be doing it these days
