don't read anything into it, i was just hating on juliar this morning

back to carney, clearly he is the best half in the team, but if gardner was injured or way out of form then i would play him fullback and have kelly and townsend/robson combo in the halves... this has to be a better spine then bringing say gordon/stapleton into fullback and having either of kelly/townsend/robson sitting in reggies

We need more than a dummy half to steer them around. We still need a half that will get in their and organise where the ball is going via him and someone who will take the kicking responsibilities.

I really dont think it is beyond either Kelly or Carney to organise the forwards. Too much is being said of "structured" halves players. If you've got two creative halves, Graham at lock, Degois at dummy half; what's the big hassle? There's "structure". There's flair. And a good balance of those.

I agree, you could be right and I don't think halves need to be structured but imo it is best to have a half like a chad or (I can't believe i'm saying this) robson with an attacking 5/8 like carney or kelly. That is just my preferance and I don't think either of them can work together as they are the same player.

Is it worth considering

1 Carney
2 Gardner
6 Kelly
7 Townsend
13 Graham

or

1 Carney
2 Gardner
6 Graham
7 Townsend
17 Kelly

Plenty of play making options and less defensive workload for Carney.

He did make a good fist of fullback a in 2010.

A NO for Gardner on the wing . He is small and players like Yow Yeh and Uate would trample him and he would be under constant aerial assault.

i saw the other day, we have havent had a player score more then 10 tries in a season since 2008, so i hope that some one does

We have been anchored to bottom of ladder for the last 3 years. One of the reasons for this has been our problem of getting over the try line.

So that stat doesn't surprise me
