Exactly. Defence (and attack) are really broad terms. I'd argue Paul Gallen is the best attacking player in the NRL. Why? Because of the metres he racks up. Attack is about metres. But of course there's more to it than that, and most people wouldn't think of that if they were thinking of what makes a good attacking player.

Similarly with defence you can look at heaps of different things. I'd say Graham is easily our best defensive half over all, however I'd rather Kelly defending in the centres than Wade for example.

For me, defence is always about missed tacke numbers compared to tackle numbers. Big hitters in defence don't mean squat to me if they miss a lot.

Seems fair to me.

Was a lot like Noddy, who use to chuck himself into every tackle and even though he would miss the tackle that was purely as he was attempting to make a LOAD more than everyone.

I miss Noddy. Would of loved an AK Noddy half pairing.
But we have Todd Now and Ak Todd are going to carve **** up!

A Noddy/Kelly combo would have been great. Noddy as much as I hate to admit it played some bloody good footy at the end of his time with us. I spent so long hating the bloke for forcing Campbell out but he won me over in the end.

With that said if someone had of told me last year that we would have a Carney Kelly halves combo in 2012 I would have blown my load straight away. I'm still bloody excited by the idea.

We have graham who does that now. Not as good as by time he kicks it down the players throat they are already running away from him but he often makes first contact.

Yea it's just not the same thing the reason Noddy doing it was so good was because he stopped them from gaining metres by putting it in the perfect spot then chasing.

And he misses loads of his tackles cause he tries stupid things like shoulder charges.

And noddy missed alot of tackles because he tried to go up high all the time. The point is both slow them down for the other defenders to come in. and both are very very effective at it. Better then anyone else in the comp.

I think Grahams kick chase was good. Some of his kicks on the other hand, weren't

For overall effectiveness I would take Noddy every time but is what I was trying to say. However yes Sandow does do a very good job. He needs to learn to keep his shoulder charge at bay a bit more and he would become a better defender for it.

i was watching the Koori Knockout on tv and saw AK demonstrate his kick chase take down abilities. He was down there real quick and just slaughtered this poor full back. He has the ability. Would he do it in a game? That comes down to attitude
