i was just wondering, did anyone else at the dragons game notice that we were severely outnumbered in the supporter stakes?

i was there with a mate who is not really a football fan but a sharkies fan by default (local team), and he noticed it too.

to look around the stadium, there was very little blue, black and white in a sea of red.

i realise it was technically a drag's home game, and at homebush, but it was still a local derby and they usually pull decent crowds.

also, i think the dragon's have made a big mistake by shifting their home games to ANZ, because while they managed to pull 15,000 people the stadium still felt empty, whereas that many at OKI would've brought the house down.
far less intimidating to face them there than at WIN or OKI.

I totally and utterly agree!!! I thought the same thing, i think i've mentioned it in every post that i've written since the game. It would've been 14000 red and only 1000 blue, and it's the loacal derby!
One thing i did find was that the dragons supporters were so quiet, with that big of a supporter advantage you'd think they'd have made the most of it.

Yeah, beats me how in this the game's centenary year when the NRL is doing it's best to promote and showcase the traditional local derbies, that this game would have been played anywhere but Kogarah, let alone in a stadium as vast and impersonal as ANZ.

Prwan...

Was at the game on Sat night and you could tell we were outnumbered for sure. Being a St George home game (supposedly) you could probably expect that sort of a crowd. But Wasn't the site of all thos miserable dragons supporters filing out of ANZ worth the price of admission! Now we have to wait until rnd 20 something to see it again..

Were you guys in that huge sea of Sharks fan's in the south eastern corne (or was it north eastern?) Loved hering you guys singing during the game!!

but parra can pull crowds because it isnt far to travel..i live near parra and in comparison to other grounds..anz is really only about a 15-20 minute drive..

where as dragons sharks game is being played no where near the shire and at a sh!t ground, no one wants to go to, plus that number would drop by alot considering how many tickets were given away for free..

i was there with the finatics at the acer arena end..we were the only sharks fans there..we dont seem to be traveling fans unless your a finatic or cssc..

monday night will be the same except its green n red and souths are doing crap..doubt it will be more then 10k

i was there and thought we were out numbered at least 5-1.

plenty of targets on the way out of the ground to have a dig at!

yeah..we were up the other end.. but on the same side as you lot

Oh sweet.

Why dont you sit with the CSSC at games? Wouldnt it be better to have both groups in the one spot?

from the clubs perspective it would look better than having a divided lot of fans?
