Both into NSW Cup. Kearney is a waste of time IMO. He is a great player but breaks like a piece of chalk. Buster is also good but just isnt a no 7. His best position is five eight and Barrett is a lot better than Buster.

People said the same thing about Benji Marshall. Said he is a great player but so injury prone that he is not worth it for the Tigers. Then this year he gets some games in a row and is killing it. Even though Tigers arent doing great at the moment he is. If Tigers got rid of him he'd be doing awesome for another club.

Dont want to see that happen here.

I'd keep Stapleton and Porter in and Kearney on the bench and Seymour to NSW Cup initially and then see where to go from there. It's always good to have someone waiting to get back into 1st grade. It keeps the current 1st graders on their heels.

Yeah agree thats the way to go and diversifys the bench as well!

2.stapleton
3.Goodwin/williams
4.wright
5.ferguson
6.Seymour
7.Porter
8.Snowden
9.seu seu
10.douglas
11.gallen
12.topou
13.barret

Not sure who would get the centre spot but as you can see are depth is looking good for this year and the years to come

Marshall is Mr Inconsistent, no other team but the Tigers would want him. I’m still unconvinced about retaining Kearney unless it was for base rate of pay!

Barrett at lock forward is a waste, he’s been our best performer and lynch pin in these last few wins. I’m sorry to rain on your parade but I feel Scott Porter will be found out soon, and when that happens and we leak massive points Buster will be moved straight back into 1sts.

I guarantee he will have a shocker eventually, just the way it is... look at Lockyer last night? Don’t get me wrong Sharky, I think he can get there, but I won’t rate him until he’s got 50+ plus first grade games under his belt and performing (defence, kicking, line breaks & try assists) at a consistent level.

I think Seymour will come back into the team when fit, he has too much experience not too!

I agree henchman dont judge a young halfback until he has over a year or two worth of first grade experience, otherwise all the hype and pressure could get to the kid and you might never see him again.
See what porter is like this time next year.

normally i would agree

If you consider our best 3 performances recently (Penrith, Parra, NZ) the common threads are:

Williams in the centres
Ferguson on the wing
Caine starting at hooker and Seu Seu on the bench

I don't want to change any of these things. If they want to use Buster in #9 or #13 he should play 4-5 games there in NSW cup to see how he goes first.

i do not like changing a winning team when buster comes back from injury we will know if we are still a chance of making 8 if we are he can start in nsw cup, but if we can not make the 8 we have nothing to lose by trying buster at hooker and if works and he plays well at hooker and provides that missing attacking flair. it will improve our team for next year. long term i think we need to find postions for all four in our team
