What is your "Pass Mark" for the Sharks in 2016?

Anything less than a pre lim final isn't progress, so I won't be happy unless we make it that far. It would be the ultimate for me just to see us contest a grand final though.

What are you expecting of the club in the 2016 season?

I'm expecting us to finish top 6 but my judgement will centre on how well we compete in the finals.

The way we were stampeded by the Cowboys was monumental. We have to learn how to stem the flow when things aren't going our way. Maloney's kicking should help in these situations.

I think we should be definately aiming to top 4. We should certainly be in that grade by week 26.

A record of 14-10 would be decent.

Id love to see positive for and againsts. Happy to win a few by small margins but im sick of us getting smoked every other time.

Hope to see some well constructed tries. Our new halves working with ennis bird barba should see a bit less predictability to our attack. If we are still boring and predictable and camp on opposition try lines for days to get nothing, thats all in the coaching. We are paying bucket loads for maloney, we need to use his strengths

Top 8 comfortably. Also, if we can go through the entire season without and real dramas that would be great. Did very well this year with injuries and have made a few good signings. If we can repeat that again next year then i will be a happy man.

Beating Manly &/or Melbourne would be a nice start and not losing our first month of footy

Top 8 means little if we keep getten bundled out of the finals. Semi Final appearance required as minimum for me but should be shooting for prelim and beyond. If Flanno can't achieve that this season I have my doubts he will in the future

Top 8 will be an achievement if we can keep a good image off the field. Lets start to get a bit of consistency in our results quite like Manly and Melb have the past 10 years. i feel as a club we are on the fence - which side are we going to fall on. With a decent amount of off-field success we will continue to grow as a club.

Off the back of the season just gone and with the signings we have made it wouldnt be to crazy to put us in the top 4 next season.

Me personally would like to see a bit of junior development and bring through some kids in key positions.

I know the question was for 2016, but 2016 will be a key moment in our future if we are to keep moving forward.

With no major off field or injury worries, Like to think top 4, but top 4 don't mean much unless from there you can find another gear and win the most important and most pressure packed games. I am confident that we might have assembled a really good side next year.. So am quietly confident we can go deep into the season but it is a long season with highs and lows..

This pretty much perfectly sums up my thoughts.

It's hard to judge without the context of the season being played out.

If we have good luck with injuries like this year we should be pushing for top four.

My pass mark would be seeing us no longer getting blown off the park by other sides and instead doing just that to the weaker teams. There are some damn good squads next year in the broncs, cows, chooks, warriors, manly and more. If we can compete hard with these teams I'll be stoked, I don't want to walk away from as many games next year cursing a pathetic performance.

Like others have said to though it doesn't mean anything if we can't compete at the back end, we need to lift coming into September and be playing our best footy,

16 to 8 - Top 4 and GF appearance. - I guess GF appearance sums it up but coming from eighth is not good enough.

Could be a slow start to the season again with new halves in the team.

I'd like to think we can finish top 4 but not sure when I look at the other teams in contention. You would expect the Cows and Brisbane to be there again. Easts will be weaker without RTS and Maloney so unsure how they will go, still a quality team with strike all over the park and a quality pack so I think they will be top 4. Warriors have a gun team on paper and should be top 4. Manly seem to be building a strong squad but Barrett is an unknown for me, wouldn't be surprised to see him fail tbh. So that's five teams excluding us vying for the top 4 imo. Will be very tough.

If we don't finish top 6 though then that is a fail imo. It's hard to say for sure as injuries obviously play a huge part.

As others have said it would be nice to see some improvement in our attack. Putting teams away when we're on top, not coming away with nothing when camped inside 20 for multiple sets, beating bogey teams like Manly and Melbourne.

Top 4, then hoping for luck with injuries, everyone available & we get the rub of the green with refs decisions in the finals.

I am hoping we finish higher than we did this year and then give the semis a real shunt. A bit of flair and defence will be like pecks paste.

Premiership. Anything less is a fail.
I'm thinking the same thing, if the club isn't aiming to win a premiership they've already failed at achieving a "Pass mark".

I think the better quest would be what are our expectations for next year. For me it is winning the premiership, then again I am known to talk up my teams prospects.

Hey, it's gotta happen some time right?
