I'm listening to it on the radio. Sounds like his kicking's been good, but has he created many chances?
Nah not really. Closest he probably came was receiving the ball on the last, middle of the field about 30 out. He slipped to one knee, got back to his feet as the defence met him and he popped a little 5m grubber through their legs and as Penrith have done all season 3 blokes chased through to regather it for McKendry to knock it on trying to pick it up from around his feet.
Other than that Wade was putting up some bombs - some too long, some nicely placed to land just before the try line. His defence was the stand out of his game he laid on some beauties.
Don't be expecting this kid to come in and march the side around creating space and time for players though. He cannot be the dominant half at this stage of his career and will need someone decent alongside of him. He's only 19 but with obvious talent. His ability in defence gives me confidence he can read a game well so I got no doubts his creative attacking ability can improve a lot.
