Gees you guys are tough.

He is club captain and a Sharks great.

IMO he has already earned a place in our current 17. He should be given a month or so to get back into full swing.

After that it's fair game

Looked great in the warm up with a whistle around his neck.

Seriously thou, I’m hoping he comes back soon and finds form quickly.

They asked about Wado in the presser and Fitz was very non committal about his potential return next week.

I think he is either still a few weeks away or Fitz is playing his cards close to his chest.
Fitz definitely looked shifty and unsettled when asked the question.. Something tells me Wade is going to have some work to do make it back. I recall some off-season questions to Fitz about Wade’s captaincy and he was was less then convincing about his willingness to back Wade.
We all hope Wade can get back to form and offer something. Watch this space .

In a full squad.. can see him taking Williams or Hunts spot.. Tolman, Fifita, McInnes on the bench.

No need to drop Wilton, Talakai or Nikora

Strange place this forum

Players were written off preseason and now are getting plaudits about their improvement under the fitz regime but our club captain has been exhaled to park football

Unsure why in the eyes of most why wade isn't afforded the same luxury to prove himself

There's no reason he can't come back and get close to his best, it may take time but if he does he is the best backrower at the club easily

He has the skill set that most backrowers in the game don't have and deserves his chance like any other player in our side has had

He may not come back anywhere near the same player but if he does he will be extremely vital for us

Not sure why it’s strange?

Has played very average over the last 3 years, the 50% of the games he has played.

Has been average in a poor forward pack. Now with new players such as finucane, McInnes playing much better then he has in numerous years and players like Talakai, Nikora, Teig and others also playing better in a forward pack that is succeeding not sure why he just pushes them back out of team without at least having to come from bench?

Not to mention in relation to him being captain, I have heard a lot more in relation to the players firing up due to finucane then I have ever heard in relation to Graham. Just my opinion…

You just answered your own question, you mentioned players who have improved this year, nikora for one was probably not in the starting 13 at the start of the year and now is mentioned as a player that can't be dropped. Tolman was another player who people said should be playing for Newtown and now is vital to our team

Wade deserves the same treatment as others, he's had time away after some bad head knocks, there is no reason he can't get back to close to his best

Have to remember with Graham I personally think the added responsibility as captain with no real leaders surrounding him the past few years truly affected his game in recent years

Now we have far better leaders around him and it will free him up to play his game without that added extra responsibility

In the side we got going you could put the C on anyone, it won't change performances.

Wade will come back when he's ready and ready to give his best. Probably from the bench. But he's not the type to disrupt things for his benefit either.

I don't believe anyone is given anything they haven't earned in our team. I think Wade would be one of the last blokes to want or accept any different.

It's ridiculous, there's just no chance it happens.
Agreed, the only way it might happen is if Wade himself thinks he needs some game time since he really hasn't played much footy.

and maybe it's been his lifelong dream to play for Newtown so he's grabbing the opportunity :)

I think he's a good chance to come off the bench and get limited minutes first few games.

Play a few off the bench and if you’re embarrassing yourself just fake a head knock in the last 5 mins of a game and nobody will question your retirement

Wade was asked when he will be back .
Said he trained strongly last session and could be back next week OR maybe the week after .
I hope Fitz errs on the side of caution and doesn't play him against Storm,

Unless they name Cronk then Wade can wait until our game against Manly and come off the bench

Moylan is a pretty reasonable test case

Dunno if it’s a it’s just plain luck, original misdiagnosis or whether the club just wants to put a positive spin on bad news but for me, the past few seasons when we’ve had players getting injured, the club puts out the injury updates on their web & whatever they list as likely return date invariably gets pushed out further & then further again.
It’s rare we have a player who comes back earlier than the original anticipated return date.
Here’s hoping both Wade & McInnes prove me wrong
March 2 they said 4 weeks, it feels like our medico’s must throw darts @ the dart board when suggesting injury time frames 😂
