Not sure about this talk about his 300.
What about what’s best for the team?
On form he is no where need the team!
Nah **** that manI know, but i mean im happy for him to get 300 next year
I used to say that about Fifita which wasn't very popular, and then he died and came back good enough to make the bench again to earn back some of his legacy. (Sorry for not seeing that coming?)Have to agree.
I think the longer he plays on the more damage he does to his legacy (unfortunately).
I’d love to have seen him get to 300 as he has been a great servant for the club but I’d hate to see him ruin that by playing for to long trying to get there (and currently he seems to be doing that).
there is nothing wrong with wanting aging players to move on, especially when they arent up to itI used to say that about Fifita which wasn't very popular, and then he died and came back good enough to make the bench again to earn back some of his legacy. (Sorry for not seeing that coming?)
Fifita was on far far more money but off the back of a grand final dominating performance (and a more lively public personality) he apparently earnt the right to play semi-committed, injury impacted football for us on a massive paycheque. But Wade who is struggling similarly all but DJ are happy to cast aside.
It's interesting one of these guys most people defended the other most are happy to ditch.
I guess we have re-signed Wade rather than him still being on the massive contract he earnt?
Both were key players in our Grand Final winning season and arguably world best in their positions for a time.
In saying that I was happy if we could have moved Fifita on a few seasons earlier (before he did most of the rep damage he ended up repairing a little) so I also am happy to make Wade 18th, 19th or 20th man.
Atm the legacy is already ****ed unless he can do something to fix it. Andrew managed to stop being mostly called Fatfita but I'm still seeing a lot of Wad Graham
Colquhoun has played about 1/3 of his Jets games at second row, and has played both sides. Played big minutes and handled it well, but imo it takes him out of the game and doesn't play to his strength. He also spent the final 12 minutes of last week's game there, and handled it OK, bent the line and got some good quick play the balls - though he was never tested in defence. I would name him to start and have Wade give him a rest, but moreso because it gets our best young player into NRL games and causes the least disruption than because I think he is necessarily the best second rower available.I don't think Jack Williams or Sifa are necessarily great second row options (Sifa might be worth a try again cause his defense in centre is part of the problem)
Can someone please give me a rundown of our second row options in lower grades and where they are development and form wise?

The Jets second rowers lately have been Charbel Tasipale (right) and Kyle Pickering (left). Neither are Sharks contracted. Tasipale is an above average NSW Cup second rower imo. Pickering has been more of a utility player coming through grade with the Sharks, and is just establishing himself in Cup.
There are three in Flegg: Henry O'Kane (right) was a development player at the Tigers in 2022 and has appeared in one game for the Jets this year. JT Manuofetoa and Toby Boothroyd have split time as the left edge second rower. Boothroyd is a goer. I've liked the look of him since he was in SG Ball. Rednut Jack Williams.
