Gotta say I was impressed with Graham in #7 last night. Honestly I've never really rated him before when I've seen him play #6. True - he was playing behind a VERY dominant forward pack, but he seems a better player when he gets more ball.

I haven't seen the game yet, but I'm about to watch the replay purely for the purposes of seeing how he goes in the #7.

Yeah so he was pretty good.

He's not a natural halfback, but he's a handy footballer. Ironically, him playing in the 7 is very much like baz playing there- they are very similar players. He's got great strength and size, and a lot of belief. He's been better every game he's played which is a great sign.

Perhaps, with an offseason training in the 7, a pretty simple/direct/forward-oriented but well-defined structure plus some help from his dummyhalf and he could be an NRL halfback. I couldn't help imagining Kelly playing outside him instead of Burns... there were some flop-backs and loose balls, second phase play and wide spreads to the right where Burns didn't threaten much but Kelly could have really hurt the opposition with his pace and elusiveness.

I think his short kicking game needs a lot of work either way.

*Edit: I found it interesting that in his interview Graham mentioned he and Gards had played some rep footy together in the past and then they seemed to have a good chat post-match. Can't be a bad thing if there's already some sort of mateship and combination there!

Drag Queen territory.
I'm pretty much ready to anoint Wade Graham as the Saviour. ****, we don't have much else to cling to.

While I'm thinking about it, anyone reckon a "WADE-ING THROUGH SHARK INFESTED WATERS" banner is a good idea? Or too wordy?
