I thought he was a clear man of the match. Ennis and Fifita were good too but Wade owned his side of the field. Gagai was anonymous and he made Houston his bitch.

His best game in ages.

Wade did make some good busts last night but he always seems to stumble or trip over something once he does which always seems to lead to a bad pass or dropped ball. Doesn't seem quite right balance wise.

Still seems crowded and a bit disorganised with those runs. Now that it's looking promising, I'd expect they'll sharpen it up in training just like they have the inside ball and cross field kicks... They are actual weapons now!

Jack Bird will play Origin before Wade .

Must be because of his chicken-legs.

I think Wade is a bit unsure of his abilities.

He breaks through tackles, looks suprised and then does something silly.

He needs to go into every tackle like he's going to come out the otherside and plan accordingly

Spot on I reckon. Got it all coming together just needs that last bit of confidence & clarity to polish it all off. Long season - he'll be right.

I don't think Wade will be playing Origin. He doesn't seem to be progressing. He is a very good first grader and future captain for the Sharks but he has played over one hundred games of NRL and hasn't cracked that elite level.

Maybe his confidence copped a hammering after the events of last year and his development stalled. Hopefully, he will come good but at the moment, he is still a step behind blokes like Gallen, Lewis, Cordner, Josh Jackson etc.

Agree, Wade playing Origin is far from a given, won't be surprised if he gets the nod some year down the road but needs to offer more than what he is at the moment. Toughness is a big thing for Origin which Wade has covered but the modern Origin player needs to offer that something extra along with consistently good form

Plenty of competition in back row positions - dime a dozen lol so need to stand out from the pack
