I would love to see the coaching staff work Albert Kelly's butt off over the offseason. Bulk him up, rough him up and get him into a grizzly defensive player. I don't believe his attitude can't be reset. It'll be a fresh start under Flano for him. If we could just gear him correctly, I firmly believe that...

6. Kelly
7. Ox
11. Tupou
12. Gallen (c)
13. Graham

...would absolutely work. The defence of our halfbacks has been putrid all year. You can get away with it if your half is a gun in attack but SFP and Smith haven't come close to being anything of that mold. They're liabilities on BOTH ends.

I mentioned on another thread I was warming to the Graham in 13 idea. I don't think he signed for that role. I do really like the look of that though El coco, one can dream, sometimes as Sharks supporters, that is all we have.

I would love to see it (or 7 Kimmorley), but I just cant see it happening. (Maybe Flano might have different ideas for Kelly though?)

I think the only half in the shire that can help graham is townsend as he is an organiser and a great general play kicker that is if smith can't start playing well graham at the moment is solid and im very happy with the signing but he can't be an organiser at the moment but can be very destructive if he gets the ball when he wants it (like sutton).

Best thing about this signing is we spent 140k/year (reported). That is good value i reckon and we are not paying him on the hype that has surrounded him so far in his career. Great job if this is in fact correct Flanno.

Well if that's true that's pretty bloody good value alright. And it shows decent players are willing to come here without the cheque book being thrown at them.

Have to agree with the sentiments raised in the last few posts. I've watched Graham sporadically during the season and he reminds me more of a young Greg Bird than anything else. And I agree with kiwi, a play at Ox needs to be made. He'd be an ideal person to have nurse Graham into something solid.

Good call! Not as much mongrel, but made up for with a bit more skill I think.

You reckon? I don't see either of them leading a side around, and neither look to be a composed half who'll work his team into a game and out the other side of close ones.

Smith is capable. And so is Graham. I'm assuming that Graham will be our starting 5/8 next year, so whoever is partnered with him in the halves will hopefully be given a good enough opportunity to work up a good combo.

7 is clearly our weakest position.

Any pairing of 6)Graham & 7) whatever we have now, and we are getting carved next season.

It's unlikely that we are going to win the comp next year guys. We need to get a solid team and make the 8 for starters.

I'd be happy with Graham, Kimmorley (1 year), Bailey and any two (or three) of the guys below:

was happy with what I saw from Smith on Friday night, considering he has been out for a few weeks and got little game time he made some good tackles, was playing prop by the looks of it so wasn't attacking like he usually does on the edge of the ruck.
