I thought Berrell looked sharp before he got tired or injured or whatever happened to him.

His service looked pretty good early on apart from when he did the pause before pass thing.

I'm sure pause before pass is part of the armoury of the modern hooker but he seemed to do it a bit too often and it didn't seem to disrupt the timing of the opposition defence. Live and learn.

funny some will say Berrell played well. yeah tried hard, but his service was slow/messy & even awkward and he fumbled a number of times. first time I've seen him. commentators had wraps on him early on. saw the last 5 minutes and Woolford looked sharper and crisp out of dummy

we lack depth if that's what we have, scary.
Penrith were leaps and bounds ahead - especially in the depth ranks. their juniors & others are ready to rip in
shame some of the first graders didn't step up. Sean osullivan was all over us in the first half

but it's a trial of all up and comers - yep no one from starting 13 there. that will be the big test - next week

so braydon trindall will cop how many weeks for his shot?

oh and jess couhlon (spelling??) No.13 looks the goods
I agree on Berrell, one went way past Trindall and lucky he snuck a kick away. Lots of loopy poor passing. Thought he wasn't awful in other areas, made a few good runs and tackled well. He'll carve up NSW cup.

No chance he's taking Brailey's spot off that performance.

No too stressed about the result. It's a trial and no injuries. And alot our guys were kids. Heaps will play Flegg.

Trindall seemed like the moment got to him. Think we'll be seeing Moylan/Hynes Rd 1.

The 13 seemed like a worker, no frills made a few nice runs.

Hunt is VERY under done. He's absolutely playing alot of Jets football. Thought Pele made a few great runs but got a bit silly in defence.

Talakai was good when he was on. Wilton a bit quiet.

Dykes I thought was pretty decent at Fullback and he's only 19.

I think the dodgy pass past Trindall was more a symptom of fatigue. Kind of stuck to his hands.

I'm not seeing the current Berrell as a viable first choice at hooker but I wouldn't judge him on that.

yeah nailed a few things there that I was thinking

I also liked Hazelton from what I saw, reminded me of David Barnhill with that strapping on!!
hunt was not on
pele went strong when he came on, does look a fitter.
surely Berrell will improve,

A receding hairline definitely makes you go faster.

The younger players clearly let the occasional get to them. Colquhoun went well, and Jack Martin was decent in defence but got a turtled a bit with ball in hand. Dykes and Finau didn’t embarrass themselves. The rest will be better for the run but struggled.

Thought Talakai was the only one who looked like a first grader amongst Reggie's

BHU had one drop but looked decent other than that
I like when Wilton walloped Staines early but other than that him and Hunt needed to step up more if they want to make 17

I know it is a trial and all but still ego bruising… however, cultural change takes time.

Couldn't even muster an old fashioned pre-season draw

Shane Flanagan is rolling in his coffin (he bought on gumtree to put his tools in)
