I have to agree, Cronulla played themselves pout of the game in the first 20 minutes. Rusty performances saw a lot of dropped ball and little to non existent sliding defence. No Buster in attack killed our variety in the kicking game and our forwards displayed no mongrel.

However in saying that, I do agree with comments regarding Archer’s overall performance as anything less then great. Sure we can't and shouldn't blame the ref for 28 unanswered points but the fact remains that Archer and the linesman came up with some ridiculous calls throughout the game. Lot's of attention up around the head was let go. The one they did pull up was crap. One of the worst 10 metres kept throughout the year. Somebody please send this prick a sesame street video or something because I swear archer can't actually count to ten. Anybody who seriously believes that this guy is our number one ref is kidding themselves or secretly cheering for a third Melbourne win. Because that is what you will ge3t from Archer. This guy is a master at pretending to be on the “hunt” for the NRL’s pet penalty of the week whilst simultaneously towing the NRL agenda (if expansion teams get way with a win “it’s good for the game”). Seriously the call against Geyer in the first was purely so Archer and co could present the image of being on the lookout for suspected grapple tackles, just look away and pretend you didn’t see the numerous grapple tackles (admittedly form both teams) and chicken wings (Melbourne and in particular Cooper Cronk) that were just ignored in the late stages of the first and early second half.

If the choice is down to Archer or Hayne in the GF based on their interpretations of both games I would have to give the GF to Hayne as disgusting as that sounds

Storm's White clear to play grand final
By Guy Hand
AAP

Melbourne Storm prop Brett White is free to play in Sunday's NRL grand final after being cleared of elbowing Cronulla's Ben Ross during last weekend's preliminary final.

White was put on report for the incident, and faced the prospect of missing the grand final against Manly if charged.

But the Storm confirmed on Monday the NRL had found White had no case to answer and would be free to play.

Immediately after being cleared, White also took the extraordinary step of denying claims of an off-field rift with Ross that has contributed to their on-field fireworks this season.

White and Ross were once St George Illawarra teammates and were rumoured to have fallen out over a female.

White copped a four-week ban for punching Ross earlier this season, and the pair were embroiled again in the Storm's 28-0 preliminary final shut out of the Sharks.

"There's been a lot of rumours been going around about off-field incidents going on between Ben Ross and I just want to clear that up," White said.

"We've never lived together, we've never had a run-in off the field, there's never been any drama. I want to squash that here now.

"I had faith they (the match review panel) would see the incident for what it was - that there was no malicious intent."

Cronulla winger Misi Taulapapa is the only player charged by the match review committee on Monday, hit with a grade one striking offence for punching Storm winger Anthony Quinn.

Taulapapa reacted to a late Quinn tackle in the 34th minute with a right fist and faces a one-week ban with an early guilty plea.

Your dislike for Birdy seems to be pretty obvious to most people on this forum, the reasons behind it rather less so...

DeadlyShark is a QLDer I am sure, so that would be on his list and easy easy to understand as they really don't have a chance when he is in the NSW team :D

But if he doesn't like Birdy well thats ok I can handle that as long as we don't have to hear endless rants over it when he is back in our team :D.
