Never heard off or met the guy so won't make any judgement on his appointment. He's not looking after the football side of things so hopefully we get someone in who knows their ****.

Same with Andrew Gray.
along with Steve Price.

I was lucky to speak to both several times and they are extremely competent at their jobs. IMHO I rate Andrew as one of the best in Australia .

Imho we should have a group CEO , and two GMs on both sides, which would ensure compliance and corporate governance is done correctly and having one POC for the club. Imho Separating the club back two separate entities is going backwards.

One would hope that the Sharks did their due diligence before making this appointment but gee there are a few red flags for me!

You'd have to think the whole 'Gorman out two new separate CEO's in' reeks of the football operations side not wanting to be told what do to by the business side ( leagues club)

Solution - appoint a new CEO to the leagues club to run the business and a "yes man" type CEO to run the football operations.
Risky if you ask me... Who does the buck stop with?

I don't like it, but I guess we'll wait and see who gets the football operations CEO appointment.

I like it. When Flash asked for a release to Parra flanno was all for it knowing we had barba and val, gorman got involved and knocked it on the head. Football stuff should be decided by football people.

If it's a football matter the buck stops with the football club CEO. If it's a Leagues/development matter it stops with the Leagues/Development CEO.

It's pretty clear cut for 99.99% of things. For the other stuff there is a common board (in practice, although I think theoretically they are separate?)

The two roles are really quite different. Particularly with the development going on

Think we need to submit him to the egg test in regard to whether he's a true believer.

Without wishing to influence egg's decision, paragraph 4 of the article seems to bring the true believer aspect into question.
