Love him. He struggles with his size (and opposition holding him down) to get up and play the ball. He could've easily been penalised with one poor attempt to the play the ball.
Yeah - does get slowed down sometimes - especially when he runs close to the ruck. Real handful and generally gets up quick when running wider though, and the Ronnie try last night came on the back of a nice quick ptb from him.

Yep, definitely not an issue, especially if he runs wider...

When he ran the tough middle slog on one occasion he was lucky not be penalised for a rushed attempt to correctly play the ball.

He's been an automatic Top 17 selection for me since pretty much he debuted. Was only a matter of time before he started to score some meat pies too as he had been getting really close for a while.

Such a good runner of the ball and I think his defense has slowly been improving. He never seems to have a bad game which isn't something I can really say about Hunt or Oregon and Dale has been very meh.

He reminds me a bit of Keith Gallaway after John Lang put a fire cracker under him and told him to start using his size. The Nut has done that from Day 1.

Sometimes it isn't about developing young up and comers and getting them game time for experience, sometimes it's about picking them because they are the superior option.

When this bloke is confident enough and given the license to offload, watch out

What I love most about him is whilst he's an extremely consistent force off the bench who's line running is perfectly complimented by Brailey's ability to occupy the markers he still has so many more levels he can elevate to go to.

If he can learn to consistently find his front (I doubt he'll ever consistently have a quick ptb due to how long his legs are and how awkward it looks for him to stand up) and get comfortable as a first contact defender whilst using his size to win tackles he'll be an absolute force to be reckoned with. He's already a super damaging ballrunner who can hit his lines with precision and power but if he figures out how to plug the little holes he has in his game the skies the limit for him.

Fitz needs to help him out a little by drawing attention to how often he's slowed down on the ground in one of his pressers.

Here's a question, if we only had room for one of Tommy or Tuku on the bench, who would it be?

You'd go Tommy now but gee, if Tuku keeps showing that kind of impact it will be hard to leave him out.

From the game I saw of Tuku last year I thought he was a plodder of the highest calibre and would never be playing first grade.

Sounds like he had an amazing off season and think I read he might have had some things going on.

So seeing his trial game and then his Friday game I'm glad I was wrong. First time for everything.

Think Tommy has the spot and it's his to lose.

Hunt vs Tuku I think is a better argument. Still think it's Hunts for now but Tuku is breathing down his neck. Especially if we're talking about a 20min impact role, which seems all Hunt can do anyway and all we can allow with 4 forwads on the bench.

Love that we have that size to bring on to change the game. Beautiful

Tommy is getting 40 minutes now, whereas Tuku was gassed after 10. If Tuku starts to match that it will be interesting, and a good problem to have.

This.

I think Tommy is set, but Hunt has a strong challenger

If Tuks looked anything like that 10 minutes for 40 there’s no question he’s in the 17 - with Tommy.

Some other bastard misses out

I reckon AFB is already having an impact on our team and we ain't paying him yet.

Bargain.
Living rent free in our forwards heads can only be a good thing.

With Tuks now showing he is Nrl ready it puts even more pressure on spots which is great for us. Especially with next season. Play a couple of bad games in a row and you could be dropped. We haven’t had that in a long long time. Had too many passengers in our team. Those days seems to be numbered now

Time for him to start.
Not that we appear to have much choice.

Definitely running out of options.

No issue with the miss on Api?

For the Olam try? Blayke and Jack I'm still trying to understand so won't touch.

Api being so bloody tiny didn't help the big fella but yeah lazy effort just sticking out the arm.
