Harsh critic
By the time he secured ball and looked up Burgess was already shooting at him. He braced and took contact from an international prop and lost like two steps backwards despite it hitting him in the head. In fact if it hadn't hit his head he's not wrapped and can probably turn and run.

I guess the difference is interpreting it as bracing for contact vs shying away - lot more props in the NRL doing the first vs the second though I'd suggest
It's a knit picking thing. Not unhappy with his performances. I've called him to start. My fan fantasy is he approaches those differently a few years for now. Other props thinking twice before they try put a shot on the big nut.

i agree, but not just the commentators, journos were all over it saying he hit his chest

disagree with the sin binning, especially for that tackle

we lost tom for the remainder of the game, burgess had to spend some time in the bin, if there was more than 10 minutes left in the game i reckon he would have been sent

“ if there was more than 10 minutes left in the game i reckon he would have been sent”

I doubt that and time left should not have any bearing on the punishment. It’s either a send off or a sin bin and that is based on the foul and severity of it.

Personally I didn’t think a sin bin was warranted WHEN YOU LOOK AT WHAT LUAI DID and what punishment he received but happy to take it against us.
Would have been pretty pissed if it was one of ours going thou

The frustrating thing is the inconsistencies not only through each game each round (which is understandable given that different refs have a different POV) but more so with the MRC and panel.

I literally watched a guy die playing local league only a few weeks ago. The game is unsafe as much as they dont want to admit it. All these commentators carrying on about soft penalties, then sucking Wally Lewis’ foreskin with his recent diagnosis are the most hypocrital dinosaurs there is

Like you said in previous post, not sure how the body will hold up.
Can assure you the answer is 'not well' if he keeps running square on at very big guys who don't mind a cheap shot who have shot out of the line.

You wanna take that on your shoulder or indirect, not in the middle of your chest

Wasn't to happy how he shyed away from that contact. I know Burgess is a big nugget, but If he can get to the point where he meets those collisions wanting to win at any cost, we will have a weapon. Not sure how the body will hold up though.

Credit to Sharks Forever in still finding ways to surprise me - I was not expecting a reading of the situation in such a manner

I did not even relise such a take existed

Nut didn't nothing wrong and wasn't soft or shying away from anything, he got hit high, doesn't matter if it was from Burgess shoulder or chest or head or cock it happens in a split second, not really alot for Hazleton to have to think about or could have done other than handling getting knocked half out as best he could

As soon as he is hit running an angle he gets dominated. Needs to be hitting the line straight on

I’d love an extra second on these gifs to see him fight for play the ball
Don’t expect you to change then but maybe for future ones you can let it run a touch longer

My heart is aching after not seeing him in the lineup. Burgess is a grub.

I wanted to like your post so much, but that first sentence is so sad. 😢

That was my original intention. I wanted to run from ptb to ptb, since it is also useful to see whether he is getting it off a good ptb or not.

The problem with GIF though is that they get huge and unusable when you let the go that long... so it would end up being 3 separate ones. That's fine, and not much extra work. Just makes it one forum post per hit-up.

Looking forward to have this bloke back. With a Thursday game this week and him last playing the previous Saturday he should just scrape in with the 11 day concussion thing. Surely Moylan drops out of the 17

Need to clip those defensive efforts from this big guy and show the rest of the team how it's done. Outstanding.
