Do you get any sort of error message ILLmac or does it just time out?

I haven't been visiting a real lot lately with the league shutdown, but probably only had issues one or two times.

I think there's a wider discussion as the best way for the forums to go forward, given I've been pretty lazy with it for a long time.

I've sometimes thought it could be good to migrate to a subreddit on reddit, and just maintain this as an archive, if the majority were keen.

Just an idea though.. if everyone's fine with things as is, it can just keep going.... I guess just know that I'm not protective about things, if someone had better ideas for the future.

Im not too fussed. I like Reddit and I use it a lot but I’m happy whether we head there or stay on the forums.

There's a certain weird charm to the place, like an old train station pub. Sure it's a bit rickety and the amenities questionable, a place where newcomers are shunned; it's pretty much the same old blokes who turn up every week... but it'd be boring if everywhere was gentrified to today's carbon copy hipster standards.

I love reddit, and it would be super convenient to have this there. But you would get 1000% more trolls from other fans unless it was closely moderated. Not sure if that happens more here and we just dont see it however.

Maybe put it to tender and see who would be willing to take the lions share of the work, I think we all get along enough that if there were other mods there would be no issues.

If it's a money thing, I wouldn't be against advertising, most forums use it these days. I also wouldn't be against membership.

I'm part of another forum where there is advertising, but if you don't want it, you can buy a membership for something like $10 per year.

I like forums, it's a good throwback to when the internet was fun, not preachy and no trolling.

100% true in the larger subs. The smaller community's are much better though and there is some great content/discussion.

I'll take your word for it. Only smaller sub I've seen is a Canberra one but it seemed populated with cyclists and public servants and what I said about reddit applies to those 2 groups as well pretty much so I was no hope of seeing something different.
