After reading an article regarding Gavin Miller calling for supporters to stay strong and reading Richard Fisk's strong support of Ricky I decided to start a thread where at any stage you can post emails that you have sent to the club supporting them in thier current situation or just post messages of support.

I'll start:

Email sent by myself to D. Irvine, R. Fisk and R Stuart on 12/4/2010

G'day,

The great Vince Lombardi once said:
“The achievements of an organisation are the results of the combined effort of each individual.”
“People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defences, or the problems of modern society.”
“Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilisation work.”

"Individual commitment to a group effort".... As a club I can see that this philosophy in place and the framework in time will work, as a team I see this philosophy in place and in time it will work and as a supporter base I see this philosophy in place and in time it will work. Stay strong and believe in us.

Yes, there has been hard decisions made over the past year or so both individually and collectively on and off the field and there will be more made in the near future to keep the "fly wheel" moving. If not, this is the only component that I can see failing our "Individual commitment to a group effort". We all need to look in the mirror and be honest with ourselves from time to time and make tough calls to move forward. If it wasn't for a tough call made by myself #####################################. So please continue to believe in what you’re doing as I for one do and tomorrow will be well worth the ride.

Regards
Tony ###########

Got awesome replies from Damian and Richard.

Ive made a decision to stop blaming ricky stuart or anyone else at the club from now on. Nothing but support for the coach. Ricky looks like a wreck. Looks like his trying his hardest and trying everything. I believe it is awesome commitment to what he is doing to stay by the players and the club. Its easy to walk away from a tough situation than to try and change it for the better.

I relised that this week. And for that i admire ricky stuart, gallen, barrett, topou, ferguson, covell, douglas, snowden for not requesting their contracts be cut for being in a lowsy team. and for all the players that signed on to try help a struggling club the likes of cuthbertson, kelly, morris, aiton, vave, etc etc. Its easy to go to a winning team. Its hard to try help a struggling one. and for that i have nothing but respect for these guys.

There is nothing that Sticky would not do to help support his team and bring an NRL trophy to the Shire. This team is working so hard to get a result for us as supporters. We need to continue to hold on and support the boys. The club is in a tough place now and we need tough supporters. It is not a case of putting up with under achievement. This is about understanding that we have a team of blokes who are trying their best, not a team of superstars who don't care.
Give me this team any time.
I like this post Tony. Well done mate

Another thing that attracts players such as cuthbertson, kelly, morris, aiton and vave is the oportunity to shine and get oportunities in a struggling team that they otherwise would not get anywhere else. Smith is a prime example.
And when all seems lost, stars shine, stars become superstars, and theres our next generation of great sharks players before. We have gone through this cycle before, I have a feeling we will be alright if we can keep this club tight and together!

well said maco.

i'm in the 30+ club.(we remember the 78 gf.we will hate hartley and manly forever)

our problems aren't coaching problems.

our problems are holding onto the pill and not giving away penalties.

it's extremely hard to have an attack if you dont have, or hold onto the ball.

Whilst the loss last night hurt..... I woke up this morning still believing in the mighty black, white and blue. The more we lose and the harder it gets the stronger my resolve is to be standing and cheering when we come out the other side.

I'm pretty much the same. We got smashed, but now I'm still really looking forward to the game against Penrith. I can't help but get excited about seeing the Sharks on TV, and hoping for the best. They're my team, I've seen them get smashed before, but whatever, I'll support them no matter what with plenty of enthusiasm. What else am I going to do? Support the Dragons, Sea Eagles or the Broncos? Not ****ing likely!

UP THE SHARKS!

Well said, I couldn't have put it any better myself.

It's great to see there are positive thinking fellow Sharks fans out there.

It's getting ridiculous looking at the club Facebook page seeing the negativity from our fairweather fans.

I just wish the fairweathers would think as positive as we do.

If they did we wouldn't have any problems.

I've been making it a bit of a personal campaign to try attack that negativity on the Sharks facebook page. Obviously, it's important to embrace all points of view but I reckon a lot of that negativity has seeped into our Club's culture and is poisoning us from the inside.

I'd like to encourage everyone who believes in the power of positivity to swing by the Sharks facebook page and have your say as well.

The reason I hurt when we lose is because I ****en love this club. Another loss today but I'm still standing and so are our mighty Sharks. Let's get through this and shove opinions and bad press up doubters arses and say "how do u like them apples ****ers".

Tough day at the office again today. I did hear that Sticky was happy about some of the effort today. I hope we can do better next week.
