Cody Walker has said before he wants to coach. Maybe a nice assistant gig gets him to retire a year early so Wighton and Latrell can wrestle all day long

As if anyone will actually want to go to the Tigers right now. I don’t even think a youngster looking for an opportunity would want to. Kill their career before it starts.

Only way I'd see it happening is if Bateman can convince him, from the outside looking in - or even hearing a pitch from the likes of Sheens/benji - think he'd rather stay in England

But I don't think he leaves Canberra in any case... the whole thing is a bit weird. I can only put it down to his agent trying to bump up and/or extend his final contract, or he's been told next year will be his last (which seems doubtful).

I can understand the move tbh, could be his last contract and his value is just as high now. Always possible he suffers a bad injury this year or next if he took the option and his value tanked.

Manager isn't doing his job if he doesn't mitigate that risk.
