You keep them all if you can.

Tom and Oregon have options so least likely to leave. Jesse won't be expensive. Wouldn't be surprised to see him extended soon.

Just comes down to cost for BHU and WIlliams. If they are happy to take a bit less to stay you keep them. Some good players will miss out round 1, but there are always injuries so you need 10 good middles.

Realistically you'd think two of our current props will have to make way. I'd prioritise keeping Hazelton and Colquhoun for their cheap contracts and succession planning, so probably two out of Uele, Hunt, Williams, Kaufusi.

Money will come into it but if we could get away with losing Hunt and Kaufusi we'd be laughing.
Yep this is what the well run clubs do. Depending on what happens in 2024 we'll be in a very good position to chop a player or two on mid tier contracts.

we got the deal done for "25 without a player trade which obviously worked for both parties

you'll be very hard pressed to try replace the dally M prop with an offer of a foreign bench player, when they have the choice of having AFB for another year..

if they want to raid us later on fair game, they'll have the money to do it

but theres no chance AFB is here before 2025

Even if the warriors were open to a swap for 24 I feel the hardest part would be getting someone open to moving to NZ on a shortish notice.
More luck getting Williams with the Flanno connection or BHU to the Dragons with them letting Su’a go to NZ who has indicated he would be happy to go.

Here’s how it works

They offer BHU/Williams/Kaufusi good money to go next year

Motivated to make more money, and knowing there is an opportunity, that player and agent raise the concept of moving early.

They let Addin’s agent know too, so he can push for it also.

The Warriors concede because both their incoming and outgoing players (and agents) are pushing for it. It also frees them up some money this season to do <other good use of money>

****. I want Hazleton there bad, but that’s how I see the team looking. Thankfullyish we always have someone injured so he’ll be there at some stage for a while.

Hunt can get gone.

One injury is near certain but two would be too many I guess

Or, we get AFB now for 24 and the Warriors get Su‘a (end story here).
