Is there a chance De Gois can get out of going to Newcastle? Or thats a done deal?

Just adding again I emailed Burraston and it wont be the case.

Also on the Mullen topic, he laughed at suggestions of that saying Mullen extended his contract by his own choice in the off season.

Ha, to be honest... he wasn't that bad of a player back then. He played in the backs and some might remember, he used to be a great player in the Melbourne backline.

Played in our 2005 season towards the end of the year (when we were winning) and was awesome!

I think the biggest problem with him is that his similiar to Ciraldo.

Got potential but needs a boot up the rear end. Cooper needs to head back to the outside backs.

maybe u should have started this off with,
"A long time ago in a Shire far, far away......."
some facts to back it up would be good. or at least,
"I know a guy who knows a guy who knows ricky......."

I don't want him now more than ever actually.

It took us till now for us to move away from being a one trick pony (Noddy controling everything) and I like what I see. To go back to a one man show would be terrible.

Seymour/Bird would loose any chance at developing into better players and with Barrett, Seymour would probably even get pushed out.

(Fancy has had some good calls in the past - Ross for Ryals springs to mind)

I've been happy to sit back and see how all these Thurston rumours panned out. I've gotta say now though that I really cannot see it happening. The signing of Barrett had to put it beyond the realm of possibility. If anyone within the club honestly thought the Sharks were a hope of securing Thurston's services within the next 24 months I really can't see them bringing in Barrett for 2 years.

Lets be realistic. No matter how much Thurston wanted to play in the black, white and blue, or any club's colours for that matter, he wouldn't do it for unders. He's not on the outer with selectors or the media, in any major form slump or hitting the wrong side of his peak, which means he'll continue to demand top dollar. If anything he'd be looking for a bit more incentive to leave a club where he's skipper, and a town where he and his family are well established, to move South and start over.
