My SKD thoughts.

His best years were outside Carney. Carney's best year was inside SKD and that's whether Todd was at 6,7 or 1 chiming in. That's a good match for us as Todd has sweet farg all to work with now.

He plays right centre. If Pomeroy stays, as the captain coach wishes him to, who would get the right centre gig?

SKD, at his best, is a weapon. Here's some reminders. We have no one in the 3/4s with the potential to do these things.

We are chasing Hodkinson and SKD hard. David Fifita is assured a place here when Andy re-signs. I also here that the Peach is goneskie and we will be re-signed Toops on a lower salary, which I do not mind at all. There is also talk of us chasing Justin Poore and FPN to replace the likes of Ben Ross and Mark Taufua

Mate, you are crazy. My best mate is a long-life die hard Roosters fan. I have been to most of their games in the last 2 months. The fans absolutely hate SKD. He is horrid in defense, just watch the highlights against Parramatta. He is no where near the player he used to be. Pomeroy is a much stronger player in defense than SKD, and Pomeroy is horrid in defense. If he joins our club and plays like he is currently, everyone will be on his back. The chooks just can't wait to shed him, he is playing that bad.

Offensively, he is going back to his crabbing ways. He is not even making tackle busts anymore and he has his butterfingers back. Also, SBW is cutting him out everytime and looking for RTS.

I can just see it now, people will be bitching halfway through season 1 of SKD at the Sharks just like Toops & he's entire contract, mind you Toops deserves the bagging for what he is on money wise & what we have got in return.

I'm just pointing out SKD will not come to us for peanuts & half the guys who are talking him up or want him will also be bagging him at a later date saying we need to cut him.

A Wright and SKD combo is better than a Wright and Pom combo. Also a SKD and Leutele combo is better than having pom in the team.

I don't think anyone has any expectations that SKD is in the top 3 centres in the comp but I would put him in the top 10. Currently I would say Pom is number 32 and Jono (I love him) is about 15th. So he is an upgrade. Plus I think you will find he is not asking for big money, currently his is on somewhere around 350k. Pom is on that so like for like cap space 4 times the player.

I can't see the downside personally.
