Yep, especially if we're talking about random SL players.

Also I will be passing judgement based more on the games we win the ruck and hold the ball. Only so much a spine player can do in the circumstances we created for ourselves on the weekend.
Just finished re-watch mate.

Interestingly, Sharks forwards actually won the ruck (in attack) at a higher rate than they did in rounds 1 and 2.

Holding the ball and stopping offloads though...

You were mildly serious, then. :)
I agree that he's a much improved player after a few seasons at Wigan, but he'd be the textbook definition of surplus to requirement.
Spine needs big game experience, and they lack that mental edge to take us all the way. We'll be waiting til 2026 onwards for these players to kick on with development or come of age. Get an experienced fullback and halfback/five eigth if the opportunity is there.

Wouldn't stopping offloads be a part of winning the ruck? Can't really win a tackle if the guy you're tackling gets a pass away.

What Chad said ;)

…and Yes. Having 3 blokes in a tackle and still not being able to stop an offload is definitely losing the tackle.

To a certain extent this is what is recorded in the “ineffective tackles” column. It covers a few other sceneries too though, and personally I don’t think it’s fair to lump “all tackles where an offload occurs” together in a category. E.g. why punish the bloke wrapping the legs of the two guys up top didn’t wrap the ball?

Drums are beating at South’s.

The big rumour doing the rounds is the potential return of Bennett with Burgess coming as his assistant. Would then be a 2 year plan with Burgess take over in year 3.

Interesting. Probably beneficial for Sam to finish the season where he is, good experience.

You know Sam wouldn't stand for Latrell's laziness on the field. Would be a good move.
100%. Bennett is the same. The last decent run of form Mitchell had was when Bennett was running the show and Burgess was one of his assistants.

I think though if Burgess was head coach he would simply **** Mitchell off. His form the past 18 months isn’t worth the drama imo.

You'd move him back to centre first. He's not a fullback be he's a damn good centre.

I agree. Too hot and cold as a fullback. Goes missing way too often.

Only problem there is do you want to be paying a centre close to 1 mil a season?

Especially with Wighton and Campbell being there long term.

I'd put Wighton at 6

So Benny Hunt was a Sharks fan aye? Explains why he has tanked his games at St George for so long but now wants out after relising that club doesn't need his help to stink it up

If we want an experienced solid type genuine 7 there is one from up north coming off contract. Bloke has his own VLOG and everything and apparently was a massive Sharks fan growing up too

Please don’t.

We’ve recently sent Bort and Burgess to hills that we’ve rested their souls on because of Chad and Moylan; Lets not put them through another losing battle 🙏🏽😜
