I get what you're saying here Proud but you could probably say the same of about 10 players in that situation.

Yeah don't disagree with this at all. I was just commenting on people saying he's on overs. I think when good players are in **** teams it often looks like overs. Burton is another example. If Burton was playing 6 in a good side I'd have no doubt no-one would be saying he should be a centre.

There's a price point where YOU gotta be the difference but, or at least a large factor in the outcome. A top side aint paying those dollars. If Lomax is a $800k+ player at Saints he's probably more $600ish at a strong club.

Yeah that's completely fair. I don’t even necessarily think for some like Burton it needs to an overly good team. For instance if put him next to Hunt at the Dragons right now I'd give them a chance to finish in the 8

100%. Even the greats like JT could only do so much behind a beaten pack without support. May be in the minority, but if you told me I could have Lomax at 800 or Ramien at 650, I'm taking Lomax. I hope he moves clubs to reach his potential.

If he reached his potential he could be anything. He will have to go to a stronger club to have any hope of that. That dragons pack isn't going to set any platform for him and I really don't think he is a winger.

But would be a good tool to have next to Nicho. He’s a bit overpaid for what he’s produced so far at Bulldogs

like others have said, he’d perform better in other areas with a better 7 and/or better pack.

I’ve said before if we started culling teams guys like Wighton and Burton become centres pretty quick (and look at Wighton now).

At the same price or a little over Trindall I would too. We can’t afford him at his current pay.

I think he can prove to be a strong 5/8 but how much of his career will be wasted in dogs purgatory? I guess they hope no more of it but I don’t think their team is there yet

His bombs are pretty hit n miss too. The commentary gets wet over "a Burton bomb" but they rarely trouble a half decent back 3. Like he's got the power to hit the moon but not the accuracy.

Good centre with a boot though so worth working on. Not at the asking price though.

Funnily enough his best ever bomb was in Origin when a they gave him time and space to kick from centre
