This is a petition for the naming of the Southern Stand at Toyota Stadium.

Why wait for Gal to retire before we go ahead with it, why shouldn't Gal be able to enjoy playing in front of his stand now? :cheers

Sure i can see the risk if Gal gets involved in a "Greg Bird" type saga, but that could also happen after he retires.

Lets all push for this now and maybe Fitz or someone else with contacts in the club can pass this on?

Absolutely would be stoked for it to be called the Paul Gallen Grandstand.

He has been an absolute legend for 10 years now, is the best forward in the world.

I would still prefer him to be 'King of the hill'. A bronze statue right in the middle and back of the hill. He's the peoples champion and should be right there for the next 100 years among the people! They should do a full body mould to make the statue so people will always know what a unit he was hahaha.

Majority of Home games the Away Team supporters are on Family Hill tho.

So for me for that idea gal says no :gal:

I'm justing sitting at home sifting thru all things on the net about paul gallen.
Some of the things being written about this bloke's performance last night are amazing and honestly tears are welling in my eyes,I am just so proud to have this bloke as captain of cronulla. It's almost getting to a point where I love this bloke more than, dare I say,ET!

So proud of his performance last night. Can't say enough nice things about him.

However I will probably be alone on this but I think it should wait until he retires. I don't think an honour like that should come until their career has finished.

I am not a player myself obviously but I would also suggest that he is the type of player who would appreciate it more after retirement. It shows in comments like were reported last night. Ricky congratulated him for his performance and he said he didn't care and wants to win the series. Thats the sort of bloke he is. I say give it to him when he can stop and reflect on his career.

To me it also just seems like more of a novelty than an honour to do it while he is still playing, but again, I may be alone in that.

300th game against manly,we smashed them,he scored...it was awesome!

When was this game? I was there but cant remember the details. We were tipped off on the radio before the game something was going to happen. I think after the game the sign was uncovered to reveal the surprise.
I agree Gallen should be honoured before he retires while he's at his peak.
