Well if anyone was able to see the posts before they got deleted. This is a thread where Tef and myself will rate players to see who knows anything about Rugby League.

1. Mathew Wright 6/10.
I dont really rate this guy as you might know. And tonight he proved how average of a player he is. Cost us an early try by not taking the ball in goal, got taking into goal a few times as well. And when he is going back for a ball he has a very "inu" presence about him. He is just so casual, but as soon as he grabs the ball he runs it back like K Hunt which is something i really like about his game and the only reason why i gave him a 6. Its obvious he isnt our long term fullback in the coaches eyes, because Ike wouldnt be playing half the games in attack at Fullback if he was.

2. Ike Gordon 6/10
Set up that awesome try for Poms in the first half and made some good tackles as well. He also had some strong runs coming out of his own half. In the second half he was almost no place to be seen, if i wasnt looking for him i could of sworn he wasnt even on the field. Needed to be more involved and needed to back up more while playing offence fullback.

3. Ben Poms 7/10
Scored a try had some great strong runs, had some great hits in defence and was really solid. yeah he made some errors and needs to learn to either TAKE a bomb or just stay the **** away from it and not contest at all.

4. Colin Best 6/10
Not his best (HA! see what i did there) game of the year but not his worse either. Had some good runs and is always there waiting for an offload and his support play is really really good. But he did some stupid things as well and made some stupid errors. had trouble with Konrad but did better then most teams have done vs him.

5. Nathan Stapleton 5/10
Ran the ball like a bitch in the first half and dropped that bomb COLD when he had no pressure at all. Limited chances in attack but started to run the ball back better in the second half. Also did well to hold out Konrad in that last tackle when he went from dummy half.

6. Todd Carney 9/10
His first half was good with all the repeat drop outs he got us and his second half was great. With out him we lose this game, i know he didnt score a try but his Goal kicking was 100% and his run and offload to Smith was a carbon copy of his Origin set up. Plus that 40/20 was just amazing, we have not had a player like this since Presto we are so lucky to have him. My Man of the Match.

7. Jeff Robson 8/10
First half was nothing special, had some good kicks and ran the ball when he needed to and passed when he needed to. Solid defensive game again and something i think he is underrated in. His second half was much of the same as the first half but this time his long kicking game was much better then the first half. Plus he ran onto a nice ball from smith for a try and had a fantastic solo try. if it wasnt for the solo try he would of got a 7 from me.

8. Bryce Gibbs 8/10
Gibbs was Gibbs, when Gallen isnt in this team i think Gibbs steps up more then most people when it comes to the dirty work, he tackles hard and puts his hand up every chance he gets to take a hit up. He has some good strong runs and tackled hard, rate him big time!

9. Issac Degois 7/10
Solid game without being special. Had some good darts out of dummy half, does a lot in setting up set plays but none seem to come off tonight due to other players ****in him up. You can see he loves being back at the shire in sharks colors.

10. Ben Ross 7/10
Strong runs, strong minutes and if he is injured, which he is from what im hearing you couldnt tell tonight. Great game and is making up for all the money he cost us with injures years ago.

11. Jeremy Smith 8/10.
Normal game from Smith, he makes up for the absence of Gallen in so many ways, strong runs best defensive player we have and just gives his all.

12. JB 8and a half/10
My second best player from tonight's game. He is just everywhere and i swear he is one of the best hole runners in the game, from the guy who couldnt put together an off season since 2008 he has been so good for us, and i believe he is alot more valuable to us then Wade Graham is. This guy will rep QLD one day and would of had a better impact in Origin 2 then Dave Taylor did thats for sure.

21. Tyson Frizzel 5/10
Didnt do anything in the game to impress me, and didnt do anything to make me wish we had kept him. He has got size and is mobile but meh. Im not worried that letting him go will bite us on the bum.

Bench.

Taga - 4/10 didnt even notice him, was hardly needed
Tafua - 4/10 Had some good minutes but doesnt put his hand up really. A couple of good runs but that was it.
Morris - 5/10 I dont mind the guy but he still plays way to much of the OLD sharks game. One out passes to the forward and not giving it to the halves. he has done a good job for us, but i wont be sad when we say bye bye to him.
Green - 4/10 Did his job, but again nothing special. He didnt scream out! HEY I DESERVE TO BE IN THIS SIDE I BELONG HERE!

I don't agree with Taufua and Green. Taufua should be 5, maybe 6. He played good today and ran the ball hard. Made some good tackles too.

Green on the other hand doesn't even deserve 3, he was woeful.

I think your a bit harsh on Frizzel and Taufua. Both werent spectacular but they did their jobs tonite. Frizzel especially made some crucial tackles.
I think as well you are being a bit geneorous with Carney. The Warriors scored their first try of the back of him kicking it out on the full when he was under no pressure and we had a chance to run. As well some of his other kicks werent the best and he drifted out of the game for a while.
Overall though pretty much agree with the rest of the ratings.

1. Wright 7/10 - The bloke is a very tough footballer. He runs hard and can be a handful. The Warriors definately had trouble controlling him tonight. It's hard to blame him for their first try because it's one of those touch and go decisions and it was probably his only **** up. His biggest weakness is lack of pace and it shows in our backline sweep plays. He just doesn't trouble the defence. Solid enough.

2. Gordon 5/10 - Jigsaw may have a boner for him but the guy just isn't a first grader. Apparently he is fast but I'll never know because he never busts the line. Took a good option to throw a nice pass to Pomeroy for our first try but the rest of his play can be summed up as innefective. Slaimankhel had no fear running at him and through him all game. Refuses to do the hard work which is why he is a reserve quality fill in.

3. Pomeroy 6/10 - A real handful in the first half and it was suprising we didn't attack down his side almost exclusively considering he was lining up against a makeshift centre who was struggling to contain him. He fell away poorly with his discipline and missed a number of tackles that didn't proved costly. That forearm was just not needed but I don't mind a bit of niggle to fire the boys up. Probably our best centre option at the moment which is a worry.

4. Best 5/10 - Barley rates a mention. Never really got into the game but didn't really do anything glaringly wrong. It's what you expect from a player entering his final season. If I could take 5 years of his life you would give him 300k a year. No centre has better footwork at the line but when your halves repeatedly turn the ball inside it limits your carries. The bloke has had a great year but to expect him to go around at the same level next year is a big ask. Hopefully Gordon is being considered as a centre.

5. Stapleton 5/10 - I actually don't mind Stapleton for the time being but tonight he was very average. He failed to punch through the line like he usually does and was well contained by the warriors all night. The dropped bomb was not first grade standard and again highlighted our desperate need for an upgrade on the wings. Hard to be a winger in our team who are coached to play through the middle and the edges.

6. Carney 7/10 - The bloke is going to be lauded for the game breaking plays but where was he for the first 70 minutes? His long kicking game was great but he was innefective as a ball player for most of the game and refused to take the line on until the game was almost lost. The bloke is game breaker and I dare say it we would hardly of won a game without him if we didn't fluke his signing. Got a bit kick happy alonside his halves partner on early tackles when we couldn't break their line which is a sign of poor structure/coaching but it's hard to blame him when he is hardly surrounded by weapons.

7. Robson 6/10 - Again, he is going to be heralded the hero for scoring a couple of tries but where the **** was he for the rest of the game. He is a very average footballer that appears to be working in our system due to our strong forward pack that hides his deficiencies. Was hardly a factor for the majority of the game besides his short kicking but I have to give him a 6 because he backed up for his first try and his second effort was classy. Still kills more plays in the oppostion 20 than any other half. Please **** off to England.

10. Gibbs 8/10 - Was our best forward on the night and tackled with real venom. I was never a fan of him at the Tigers but he has really shown his qualities here. Ran for the most metres on the night and we would not have won without him. Does his job better than anyone in the team.

9. DeGois 7/10 - Was instrumental in our comeback. Was somewhat ineffective in his first stint but when he came back on he got us going forward and linked well with our halves. I'd suggest we are at our best when he is on and the lull in our play is apparent when he is replaced. Hits as hard as any hooker in the comp and I'd suggest he has more dominant tackles as well.

8. Ross 7/10 - Went forward all game and didn't miss a tackle which is his job. Has no real impact to his game but every team needs what he brings. Considering he is paid next to nothing there wouldn't be much better value in the NRL.

11. Smith 8/10 - For mine the best player on the field. He troubled the Warriors all game and always gets over the advantage line. Instrumental in our comeback running off Carney and tackled well all game. We would be retarded to lose him.

12. Bakuya 6/10 - Unlike Jiggy I thought Bakuya was contained all game. If any team watches any tape of us they surely know how reliant we are on Bakuya running good lines on the right edge and they stopped him all game. He didn't even crack 50 metres all game. Again, didn't do anything glaringly wrong and tackled well but didn't really influence the game at all.

13. Frizell 7/10 - This is were me and Jiggy def don't see eye to eye. Friz looked likely all game and was somewhat of a handfull all game which was good considering he ran mostly on his least preferred side. Kept turning up and ran for double the metres of Bakuya whilst making the same amount of tackles. Showed why it was a mistake to both not help his development and allow him to leave. According to Jiggy Gordon played better. Weird considering he ran for 43 more metres on tougher carries and made 23 more tackles.

Taufua - I can acutally spell his name. Made two strong runs and got smashed on another. Barely got any game time and offers very little variety other than a battering ram. A poor mans Fa'aoso.

Green - What the ****. We carry to many players that offer the same ****. Green barely bent the line and hardly got any game time. Pointless even playing him.

Tagataese - Somehow came up with 20 odd tackles but I barely remember him being on the field. Must be dreaming of the Gold Coast and another baffling Flanagan signing. There is no point in playing him if we aren't running him wider targeting weak defenders.

Morris - Please, please don't re-sign Morris. The bloke is a trier but we lose so much attacking momentum when he hits the field. He runs when he should pass, throws atleast one terrible pass a game and has zero impact on a game. We wil never be a premiership threat with both him and Robson in the team.

Whilst I am stoked that we stole that game make no mistake we didn't deserve the two points. We were woeful for 70 minutes and if we were playing against any other team that had any form of patience or discipline we would not have got within 20 points. Our "attack" inside the 20 was painful to watch and the coaches use of the interchange bench was disturbing. I'm glad the Warriors had heavy legs from Monday night because they ran out of steam in that last 15. We showed courage all through the night but if we don't manage to snare Gordon before June 30 don't expect to go deep into the semi finals.

Thanks boys. I was moderately drunk when I smashed that out. You might not have noticed it but there are subtle messages inside the Robson review that may lead you to believe I dislike him. Jiggy had a dig I'll give him credit for that.

Pretty good little first battle but I feel tef got on top there, especially being handicapped with alcohol.

This will be a good little feature for the rest of the year.

Got on top Sharkyboy??? I owned him. Atleast I'll be able to remind him next time he says I know nothing about the game.
